They did that at the VMA's for entertainment. It's part of the show, and people are completely over reacting.

Saw the VMAs. Turned the VMAs off. My ears didn't want to accept that what was being played was music.

i respect your opinion, as you should respect mine;
i believe that both robin thicke and miley cyrus did some things that weren't acceptable for an awards show that'd be all over tv. but, "blurred lines" isn't about - he cleared that up here; http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2013/07/10/robin-thicke-explains-his-blurred-lines/
as for miley - i understand that she wants to get out of her "hannah montana" phase and be treated like an adult. but sticking your tongue out (which looked more stupid than sleazy), grabbing your crotch, grinding on a foam finger, smacking people's butts, and shaking your own, is NOT the way to do so.

I kind of agree, but Robin at least went in with the intension of performing, where as Miley.... I just don't know. I know people are saying it's entertainment and what not, but it's not right that that is what people feel the need to do to get attention. At least Robin was a bit more classy about it. You don't have to agree, but that's my opinion on it.
