I agree with this. I feel like people should use that as motivation NOT to kill themselves; that should be their inspiration. But I've never been through that, so maybe I'd feel differently if I had.

i took this offensively.. how in the he// would it be dumb for someone to kill them-self after you told them to? it could drive a person over the edge. you cant tell people to be stronger and just expect it. who cares if someone loses or wins? life isnt about that, so that last part was unnecessary in my view. honestly, this quote actually dragged me down more than it should have. people arent weak or dumb for killing them-self when they hear people tell them to every day. quotes like these are ones that really do bring me down.

People don't commit suicide for one comment. That's the thing. You wouldn't know if someone is in pain. Even if you saw their scars or recent cuts, you still wouldn't understand. You wouldn't, unless you're them. One person saying 'go kill yourself' is the worst thing you could ever say to anyone ever because you would never know how they're feeling. They could be cutting 100 times in a night and saying that could literally push them over the edge.
A couple of months ago, that was me. If someone said that to me, I'd make that my excuse because I was in such a bad place. Self-loathing, self-harming, depressed place.
Don't ever dare say someone is weak because they killed themselves. They will have been fighting for a long time - months, maybe years against it. You either beat your suicidal thoughts or die trying.
Just don't. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever under any circumstances tell someone to kill themselves. You don't know the affect unless you've been there. I have and it honestly makes me sick to my stomach if anyone ever jokes about suicide.

I didn't tell someone to "kill themselve", did I? No, I'm pretty sure I didn't. You make a really good point. Maybe that's why when people say things to me, I act like it doesn't affect me. I am affected and people don't know what I go through. I don't know what anyone else goes through either. I never posted a quote that said, "go ahead and kill yourself, I dare you", did I? Nope.
