this happened in my history class on Friday.

Teacher: Let's play a joke on Sammi when she comes back from the bathroom.
  Students: What is it?
  Teacher: Well I'm rescheduling your test from Monday to Wednesday..
  Teacher: But when Sammi comes back in I'll say it's rescheduled to today.
  Students: HAHAHAHAHA THAT'S SUCH A FUNNY IDEA!
  Me: I don't know, Sammi takes stuff pretty seriously.
  Students: Shut up, Charlie.
*later*
  Sammi: *walks in*
  Teacher: Okay guys put away your homework, we will start the test.
  Sammi: What? I thought the test was Monday!
  Teacher: Yeah but I just rescheduled it. Sit down.
  Sammi: But I haven't been here the past few days and I'm gonna fail.
Teacher: Well you should've thought about that before you decided to be sick.
  Sammi: *almost in tears* But if I fail this I'm going to fail this class, I barely have a C as it is.
  Teacher: Well you should've studied more.
  Sammi: *crying*
  Teacher: HA JUST KIDDING WE TOTALLY FOOLED YOU.
  Sammi: *cries and runs to guidance*

and that's what breaks my heart about some of the terrible teachers our school system has

oh my gosh that sounds so awful and humiliating for Sammi. I mean it might have been okay if it was somebody who wasn't so sensitive but if everybody knew that she would take it so seriously...ugh. Poor girl. :/

well it was funny because my teachers do that, and nobody really reacts like that. i highly doubt anybody knew that she had anxiety here. it was just a harmless joke.. and i don't think your teacher is terrible. last week my teacher wrote on the board that we had a vocabulary final on every vocabulary word we've had throughout the entire year, and everyone was freaking out, but it was a joke.

Congratulations but my teacher is actually a terrible person for unlisted reasons, and everyone knew that Sammi had anxiety issues and even after I TOLD them it was a bad idea, my teacher continued. So she must actually be a wonderful, kind hearted woman
