The Big Move
Chapter
4
Sierra's
P.O.V.
"Okay, okay, I'm
back." I muttered, staring at Angie, who was waiting
impatiently.
"Sierra, it's almost 9! That's our curfew, and if
you break it, you're going to get
in big trouble with the dean!" she
snapped.
I rolled my eyes. "That's not why you yelled at me on
the phone to come here right away."
She gave me a nasty glare, as she proceeded to
talk.
"You
need to stay away from Dylan from now on Sierra. He's no
good!"
I snickered in disbelief. "He's completely
harmless."
"Yeah, because that's his plan. Boys don't be all
rude to get the girl do they?" she hissed.
"Wait, how do you even know him?" I asked slowly.
"Look, I've watched girls fall slowly to pieces because
of him. First he acts all nice and sweeps the girl off his feet.
Next thing you know, he gets what he wants and then just dumps
you to the side." she explained hastily.
"It doesn't matter, because I still have a
boyfriend." I mumbled.
"Yeah, back in North Dapolka. News flash Sierra, you're
miles away here in London." she retorted.
"It's North Dakota." I corrected.
"Whatever! Just stay away from him!" she shouted.
"You're not the boss of me Angie, I can take care of
myself!" I snarled.
She started to calm down, stuttering. "I-I'm sorry. I
j-just don't want y-you to get hurt. Y-you're one of my
f-friends, and I don't want to see y-you collapse."
I pulled her in for a hug, since all she was trying to do is to
protect me like a big sister.
"Don't worry, I'll be careful." I assured
her.
She nodded as she went back in her room to study for some test
tomorrow.

I
sat on a bench outside the cafeteria as I scrolled on my iPhone
5.
I stared mindlessly at the screen until I heard a faint voice
yelling my name.
I looked up at the shadow that was blocking the sunlight, and it
was Dylan, panting, as if he ran all the way across campus to see
me.
Might I see, he looked mighty fine in his blazer and trousers,
even if his eyes looked like he wasn't able to sleep at all
last night.
"Hi." I said blankly.
Ever since my conversation with Angie last night, it's made
me extremely uncomfortable around him.
"Hey Sierra, I really want to ask you something." he
said smoothly, running his fingers through his gelled, spikey
hair.
"Go for it." I tried to say confidently, but my voice
turned out weakish.
"Ever since our hangout last night, I haven't been able
to sleep. Well that was because, I was thinking about you."
he spoke softly.
I bit my lower lip to refrain myself from blushing big time.
"What I'm trying to say is, will you go out with
me?"
