At my schools fire drill, these boys were making me angry. Like, VERY angry.They thought it would be funny to pick up a praying mantis and throw it at eachother until it died. And they did.I was yelling at them to stop, and the boy dropped it before it died. I screamed at them and asked what the hell was wrong with them. The boy in the green looked at me and said "But, it's funny..? Why do you care, hah, freak." THEN HE STEPPED ON THE PRAYING MANTIS. I freaked and screamed at the both of them. Then they started throwing rocks and pens at eachother, and one of the boys kept throwing things in the air next to me. I was trying so hard not to cry. Throughout the day i kept hearing people yell "PRAYING MANTIS" at me. Then of course that was followed by laughter. I had gym that day, and we went back outside after the fire drill. I saw the dead praying mantis and it made me start crying. That was just cruel. Fine, call me stupid uncreative names. I dont care. You didnt need to kill it. You're sick.

Meh, its a freaking praying mantis. There are 20,000 species in the world, and soooooooooooooooooo many insects in that species. So, yeah, its really no biggie.

Ya, and there plenty of different humans too, but that doesnt mean you can just go and kill it. I understand it was a bug, but does that make it's life is any more important than yours??? It has a purpose here too.

Yes, it does actually. Because praying mantis' do not have a conscience, and there are so many more. And yes, my life is more important than a i n g, non thought processing animal.
