Mom: Oh, yes. I forgot to tell you, our family reunion is on Sunday! You will get to see all your aunts, uncles, cousins, and all your other family!!
Me: What?!! Family Reunion?? Socialization? With people I barley even know?!? I think I will pass.
Mom: There will be food. Lot's of food.
Mom: Cake, Cookies, CHOCOLATE...
Me: So, what outfit should I wear to this reunion?

Whenever I go to my grandparents house, I always learn 2 things:
1) Some kind of life lesson that they learned as a child and how I always need to love what I have and all that.
2) As much as I love food, I can never eat all that they want me to eat (and I really love eating)

Friend: Awww!!! When is she going to have her kittens??
Me: Well HE is'nt pregnant sooo....
(Yes, I really do have a 25 pound cat. He is a bit overweight, but other than that he is perfectly healthy. We don't overfeed him, just to reasure all the animal lovers out there.)

Chapter~One
"Omigosh! Carter!" My friend Vee tackeled me with a bear hug. I giggled and returned the hug. "Heeyyy Veee..." She smiled and backed up and excitedly jumped up and down, clapping her hands together like a seal.
"Caarrteeer! I saw a boy. Ok? A super hot, to die for dude. Almost as hot as Ryan." She smiled. Ryan was a super hot jock that was on the football team. Hot was an understament. This dude must be seriously cute.
"Who?" I kept getting curiouser by the second.
"A new student in my homeroom. I think he has been homeschooled all his life. This is like, his first time at school or somthing. His name was Harrison somthing.." She pretended to stroke her invisible beard. I had used to know a kid named Harrison before my parents died. He had been homeschooled. But that was all the way in Arizona. We were in Georgia. It couldn't be him. I just took a guess.
"Harrison Matthews. Dark brown hair and really dark eyes, pale skin. A scar on his eyebrow?" I thought she would look at me and say No. I was hoping she would. Instead she looked at me with a shocked expression and gasped.
"How did you know? Have you seen him already?"
"No, just a guess. I used to know a Harrison before my parents died." I explained. She smiled.
"That explains it then."
"What?" She kept talking in her mysterious way.
"Why he asked me about you. I think he liikees Youuu!!" She giggled and punched me playfully in the shoulder.
"Suuuree.." I smiled, "As if.."
"As if what?" I jumped and made a quiet scream as someone spoke behind me. I turned around and gasped. It was him. Harrison. More handsom than I could remember. His eyes locked with mine and I was instantly hypnotized. He made his crooked smile that revealed his two front teeth. Somewhat dorky, but still seriously hot.
He looked at me and just kept smiling. At last he said somthing.
"Its been a while, Hasn't it Carter?"

Prologue
I am a dreamer. I always have been.
I have always believed in fairytales; I have always wanted to be picked up off my feet and ride off into the sunset on a white stallion with my very own Prince Charming. I always had hope.
Then reality hit. I was only ten.
My parents were killed in a car crash, leaving my brother and I orphaned. A few days later, my brother went missing. I had no family, no one to go to. The only thing that got me through was the belief that my Prince was coming for me, to take me away from this horrible world.
But he never did.
I grew up in a foster home, cared for by Ms. Baily, a mean old woman who doesnt mind you getting sore from cleaning all day. I have one friend, Vannessa Anslii, a girl who couldn't be any more opposite than myself. Vannessa (Vee as I called her) was always busy so I never really had anyone to go to.
Untill I met him. Prince Charming.He was perfect, everything I needed.
But, I was so in love, I didn't notice all the strange things going on around me. I was oblivious to the fact everyone acted strange around him.
I was defianitly unaware of how he related to the death of my parents and the dissapearence of my brother. I was too busy being in love.
My name is Carter Mason.
