Now I love one direction and I really did look forward to watching them perform, but that's not the only thing I cared about in the Olympics. I don't care much for sports and I do admit that the main reason was one direction. It made me proud to see them, because just like how the people you mentioned made sports history, one direction made musichistory. And if you lost hope in this generation just because people like a certain boy band, then that's really sad...

I love 1D and it was my favorite part of the olympics because I don't really like sports and the fact that in only 2 years those 5 boys went from nobody to being the youngest people to ever perform at the olympics (also history in the making btw) and it made me proud to see them achieving something so extraordinary. I agree that the Olympics are great, I love the gymnastics and was stoked when the American girls team won, and not to mention Tom Daley winning the bronze, they made sports history and thats amazing, but One Direction made history as well, music history. Who says that sports history is more important than music history?

Okay.. Well maybe some people dont like sports and watched the olympics for different reasons? Ill even admit i only watched it for Gymnastics and Diving. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and likings. You have no right to critisize them for it.

Omg this is like the best quote ever. I mean I like one direction but its meant to be about legendary people and the athletics. One direction have only been famous for like 2 years. If anyone should of been on it should of been Coldplay to be honest. Even though they did well on there performance I just dont understand why you wait 2 weeks for them to perform for 5 minutes..
