Not to crash the party or anything.... but "Lasagne" is the proper Italian term for that recipe, and in Italian, "gn" makes a certain sound that is needed to pronounce "lasagne". so... the g is needed. lol.

Sorry for being a smart but.... I live in Italy so yea lol.
