Ive wondered this multiple times. . . They think with images, which begs the question how to cases like Helen Keller ((I have a lot of respect for her :) ) thonk, seeing as she has no images (Though she wasnt born blind. . .)
Also: This isnt disrespecful, its curiosity, so I hope no ones offended. . .

@SecretLover45 This quote was never made to be offsensive or aimed to offend anyone, yes I know deaf people aren't dumb, they're are just the same as everyone else. This quote was a question, that's all. If it really offends you that much then I will delete it?

@SecretLover45 I don't think they meant it offensively, or that anyone was calling deaf people dumb. Of course deaf people aren't dumb, they just can't hear.
@ILIKEDINOSAURSRAWRXD They were probably only surprised because, you know, beeping horns and all. It's better to hear when driving but obviously it's not completely necessary.

And I know how it feels. I'm not completely deaf, but like I said, my best friend and my love is completely deaf. He's 19 and he gets so upset when people do like that. Tell your mom that she's stronger than any of the people making fun of her. And that's coming from a complete stranger. (:

I'm deaf. My best friend is deaf. The love of my life is deaf. Everyone thinks we're stupid or retarded just because we sign or have speech problems. It's not funny. I never said it was supposed to be a joke. I said it was rude/cruel for even asking.

Deaf people can read, though, so they know how to pronounce and understand words in whatever language they speak,but because they cannot hear they can't form the words. So they think in whatever language they speak! :)
