once in a lifetime *  
~chapter nine~

The ride from my school to the other venue they were playing at was long. I didn't say much to Niall, and he didn't say much to me. I needed my space for a minute or two to get myself in control again. I was in a good mood when we left school, but now a wave of depression had washed over me. Niall knew I needed space to get myself back together but I felt bad for him. He just stood up for me, which means the world to me, but I didn't talk to him for a good 25 minutes.
Still saying nothing, I grabbed his hand, the one that wasn't on the wheel, and squeezed it tight. He looked down, then looked me straight in the eyes and smiled that gorgeous smile of his. For some reason, I instantly felt better knowing that Niall would always be there for me. 
We got to the venue and headed for their dressing room. Their stylist was the only one in the room, and she had a rack of beautiful clothes behind her.
"Come out when you're done babe!" Niall said and left. The stylist smiled brightly and said, "You have gorgeous eyes! These would look great on you!" She handed me a pair of black skinny jeans and a long purple-striped top. She also gave me black high heels that surprisingly looked amazing. I tried it on for her and she squealed at my appereance. I smiled and was gathering up my things, ready to leave. "Wait! One more thing!" She came over to me and put a white beanie. I looked at myself quickly before leaving. Wow, I actually looked good. I followed the security guard to the stage for the soundcheck. I walked in and everybody stared at me. I started to blush nonstop. Niall's eyes widened and his jaw was open a little bit. Liam went over and closed it for him, knocking him out of the 'trance'. Niall came down the stairs towards me and pulled me onto the stage with them. I sat down on the stool placed in the middle and the boys started singing More Than This to me. I still would get dizzy when they sang to me. I mean who wouldn't? They are one of the most popular boy bands in the world right now, and every one of them were singing to me at this very moment.

After an amazing soundcheck filled with uncontrollable giggling, we were back in the dressing room. It was around the time I would be getting out of school so I texted my mom that I came here straight after school. Yeah, I hated lying to her, but let's be honest.. Was I really going to miss a once in a lifetime chance like this? Zayn stood up from the couch we were all sitting on. "Okay I am starving!" The rest of us agreed and decided we should go out to dinner. They said they needed to go somewhere very exclusive so nobody would know who they were. After a couple of calls, Paul told us we had rented out the whole restauraunt just for this dinner. I was shocked, but the boys agreed like it was their normal routine. "I suppose you should get ready, I told the manager we'd be there at 6:00 and it takes at least an hour to get there." Paul added. The stylist left out all of our clothes again. Harry picked up the dress that was laid out for me and held it against his torso. "Oh I guess this one's for me!" We all laughed as he danced around the room.
I loved how they really are just normal teenage boys, and that the fame hasn't got to their heads.
