Dear New Wittians,
Here are a few tips that'll make you
seem like less of a n00b:
* Read
the rules. They're there for a reason.
* You
dont "miss the old Witty." You weren't even
there.
* Try
making your own formats. Originality is
key.
* This
isn't tumblr. Reblogs / reposts aren't a
thing. So
make
your own quotes.
* We
already know all the One Direction facts. This is
coming from a Directioner: The constant facts are
freaking annoying.
* Keep
your anger tamed. It's embarrasing to
read.
* This
place is a welcoming community, as long as you
respect us.
* Don't make sad quotes just for faves.
It's disgusting.
* This
place is my safe haven. Stop making it into this
idiotic Tumblr copycat, please.

@indie4life Nononono you've got it all wrong. Of course you can make a quote if you're sad, but some people lie about sad things to get on the top quotes and that's not okay. I'm totally fine with real feelings - that's what the vent category's for - but people aren't always being truthful.

im sorry.... i know i'm still kinda new but one of these kinda me off. "dont make sad quotes just for faves. its disgusting." and keep your anger under control onts embarrassing. WTF, witty is where people come to vent. Just because you don't want to read the quotes that they poured emotion into, doesn't mean they're not allowed. I vent on witty, sometimes I make funny quotes but sometimes I need to just put my emotions out there. It's not for you to decide.

Sorry, but to me that came across sorta bitchy, and its like telling people that there sorta unwanted, everyone copies celebrity quotes, even steve does, there not facts there quotes, just dont read them if they annoy you! You would vent, people you know vent, so why cnat other people! You dont own witty, so stop acting like you do!

i'm not sure, but i'm pretty sure she means "don't make a sad quote for faves" is something along the lines of faking being really sick. or pregnant. or something. but i don't know.

@ForeverAlone_x That is insanely infuriating, and quite possibly the stupidest argument Iv'e ever heard. I'm annoyed when I see the same facts that I already knew in the first place? Sorry but that's not how it works.

@TurtleRawr I'm talking about the people who just found Witty.. that's what "new" means.
@mariahcareyy Same as above, and I'm talking about the fake sad quotes. I was just giving tips to people who want to post 1D facts. Obviously not everyone does :/ I never said everyone was like me. I'm just telling them how it is, so people don't get angry with them.

You're a noob. Not everyone knows everything about One Direction. I barely even know their names. & if your making a sad quote it could be for fav's, as in prayers. How do you know if they weren't here for the old witty? They could have been here from the start but decided to make another or a new account. I'm not going to mention anything else, but consider different people. Not everyone is like you, so be considerate. Your not the rule maker. Steve is.

What if someone had another account thats older? Or they knew about witty before they had an account? My other one has been since april 16, 2011

i agree with most of it and i hate people asking for faves but witty isnt just for ur own quotes (when u say "make ur own quotes" its for quotes u want to post becuz u agree or like them ect... and a lot of people make sad quotes just becuz they want to write down there feelings
