I agree with most of this. Like how people simply post about it and try to get the word out and then deem themselves a prime member of the cause. Donating, attending events and such is being part of a cause. Posting about something once or twice just shows you know about it and like what they're doing.

Sponsoring a child in one of these places and/or donating to organizations preparing help missions is indeed a good way to go about things in this situation.

There really is a large different between supporting a cause, liking a cause and knowing of a cause. Most people are just liking and knowing of it.

Did you even pay attention to what he said? In order for the government to send troops over there, they need to know the people support it. DID YOU NOT HEAR THE VIDEO? "Make Kony famous, share this everywhere." Everything is help, if you want to pretend this issue isn't there then fine.

okay, i know you have the right to say whatever you want on here. but really? we have the right to do the same. if you dont like it when people post stuff, dont say anything. i posted one quote about Kony, and I am doing something about it. I donate a few dollars every month, and I'm going out on april 20th to put up posters. we make quotes to Make Kony Famous. Ever heard of it? thats what their trying to do. Make him famous so they can stay in Uganda to find him. And just because we make these quotes and talk about him, doesnt mean that were followers, we dont do this for popularity. i dont look up to my friends when they do these things. i actually knew about this before the Kony video came out. so just watch what you say. it could be offensive to some people, and , obviously, make people hate on you.

&+honestly? i havent watched the video. no, it doesnt mean i dont care. it just means that if i were to do something, and if i wouldve cared about it, i wouldve done it by now. i dont care how bitchy that sounds. but ill be drop dead honest with you. i havent watched that video. i just think its kinda silly that youre writing a quote about other people when you're doing the same damn thing.

Here's the thing, we have our right to our own opinion, And don't try and say I don't.

I'm not saying this isn't a good thing; to get kony, But you guys don't realize what goes on behind the curtains.

Things get to the children, they do. But not nearly enough compared to what they can afford.

You can see that lots of profits go in, not a lot go out.

The way it depicts the situation is a little off too. The US government does actually know about Joseph Kony and the situation. Shocker? Not really. Like the video said, he's been around a long time.
Pouring all your money into this one specific charity is not going to necessarily help or hurt you, why don't you try looking at a couple other charities that give more of their profits to the cause.

Not only this but I directly quote someone who used to work for them as this:

Go adopt a child or something? What the hell. We can't do that, we're teenagers. By the way, the whole deal with Kony was ignored for 9 years by the government, and the whole point is to spread word around everywhere to get him famous, and well known, so that he finally gets caught. So, if I were you, I'd take this quote off. It's just disrespectful and shows how cruel you are.
