This is so true, I have depression and it has gotten worse because of my Insomnia. No one even realizes what I'm going through. Almost killed myself this afternoon

So true. I'm dealing with an eating disorder and I've recovered from self-harm and the worst is when people pretend they know what you're going through. Someone told me I should go cut myself as a joke and it really hurt. Sad to say, I almost broke 4 months of hard work over one immature, stupid comment.

I grew up with a girl I never really talked to. I thought she was nice enough - quiet, and I thought, naive. I would never, ever have told her about my self-harming.
A few months ago, we came across each other's Witty. It turns out, she self-harms, drinks, smokes, and generally hates her life.
You'd never have thought to look at her. I'd known her most of my life - not well, admittedly, but still - and I'd never have known if it weren't for Witty.
Like you said - you can never tell, you don't know who it hurts. :/

Agreed there is a girl on here who faked her suicide not once but twice.& said she was and had a son. And she finally showed her real face and said it all was a lie. But she never apologiZed for it. She acted like it never happened.

My friend had an eating disorder. Laughing about it and making jokes is the only way that she can get over it. So she does know how it feels. And she still makes fun of that part of her life because it's the past. Obviously she still has desires to stop eating and throw up. But she's stronger then that. So maybe the people that do make fun of those are the same people that were involved in that one time, and they never talked about it.

a kid in my grade was joking around out cutting his wrist. i porceeded to slam him into his locker and said 'dont joke about that sh*t' what did he do? he continued to make fun of it. some people are such effing MORONS
