Chapter 23.
Jessica's POV.
Justin and I drove to my mom's house. On our way there,
Justin's phone rang and he put it on speaker.
"Hi, momma. You're on speaker phone."
"Okay, hi guys!" Pattie said
in a cheerful voice.
"Hi." We both said. "We're coming
over."
"Oh, in that case, I'll tell you when we get there.
Okay? Drive safe! I'll see you soon!" She said and
we hung up. When we got there, my mom and Justin's mom were
waiting around the table. We sat down with them.
"Hi, lovebirds." My mom greeted us with a smile.
"Hiya." I said. "What's up?"
"Okay, so you know the fourth of July parade in
3 days?" Pattie started.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, Scooter told me that someone called him from the
organization that's planning the parade. They want
you to go on like one of the big stages that they have. They want
you guys to sing and wave and stuff. Do you want to do
it?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Okay, they're paying you 1,000 dollars each.
Okay?"
"Yup, that's fine." I nodded my head.
"So, how was the honeymoon?" My mom asked with a
smile.
"It was great. Did you visit Jessica?"
"Yeah, she's adorable." My mom said and smiled
again.
"Well, we stopped there on the way home and Jenna made us
godparents!" I said, excitedly. Justin reached for my hand
and squeezed it under the table.
"That's great! Awesome!" My mom and Pattie
exclaimed.
"Yeah. So we have custody of her if anything happens to both
of them. Indie doesn't even get her. The baby goes right to
us." Justin said. The baby really was beautiful.
"That's great."
"But the odds of that happening aren't that big, but we
don't expect them to die." I said.
"Yeah, that's understandable. What did you guys do on
your honeymoon?" My mom looked curious. She already knew
what we did do. I wondered if Pattie knew. Probably. Everyone
knew.
"We had a great time." I said and smiled at Justin. He
smiled back and kissed my cheek.
"I'm so happy you guys ended up with each other."
Pattie said and looked sweetly at me.
"I'm happy too. Believe me." Justin said. I smiled
at him and squeezed his hand.
"Me too."
*yeah, yeah, yeah, i wanna see ya tonight. TONIGHT IS THE
NIGHT.
holy poop. i didn't post a song at the end of the last
one!!!!!!1 I'M SORRY, MY LOVELY PEOPLE. i forget
