One Last Breath-four;
"Hey,
Patrick."
"What's up?" He replied.
"Nothing...just coming for more practice. What about
you?"
"Yeah. Me too."
I just stared at him. He obviously needed to work on his
conversations.
I could sense Eric's jealousness. So, I looked at him and
smiled. He smiled shyly back and took my hand. He led me to the
field, and pulled me on his lap.
"How are you?"
"I'm fine, Eric. Honestly."
He never believed me when I told him I was "fine". That
made me realize how much he didn't trust me.
"Mmmkay."
"Eric, just shut up."
He laughed. He stroked my hair and hugged me. I saw Patrick staring
awkwardly at us.
