there she was. in my arms. the girl of my dreams. literally. the whole time i was in china i couldnt stop thinking about her. i even cried myself to sleep, but i never like admitting that. she was my everything. all of it. and more. i knew that i wasnt going to go back anytime soon, so i told her to move on, because i wanted to think that she was over me. that would help me go on. but i never really did get over her. i was always so quiet and shy, even though the popular chinese people in the school took me in. they thought i was cool or something. but i really didnt care. all i could think about was avery. and here she was, sitting on my lap in my arms, fast asleep. she looked cute. i know every guy says that about the one he loves, but she looked s peaceful. like nothing could touch her. it looked like she was flying. i loved it. i gently kissed her forehead, laid her down on the blankets, wrapped my arm around her, and fell asleep too.
i woke up to darkness. good thing i brought candles.. just in case [; i lit them and looked over at avery. she was still asleep but i could tell she was going to wake up soon. i have no idea how, though. i grabbed some popcorn and a mountain dew and sat next to avery with one arm wrapped around her. slowly, she woke up.
"did i fall asleep?" she muttered.
"mhm, but i did too" i whispered.
"oh, alright... is that popcorn?" she asked.
"yeah, you want some?"
"sure" she got up and rubbed her eyes. i guess makeup comes off when you sleep..?.. because it wasn't there anymore. she mustve taken her ponytail out because her hair was down. the candle lights played with her eyes, making the color change very few seconds. she looked really pretty. like, beautiful. i couldnt believe it. i had to be sitting next to the most beautiful girl in the world right now. she saw me starring at her and blushed a little. she always blushed, but i found it cute. i moved her around so she was laying against me. we looked above us at the stars. they were twinkling so brightly.
"theyre beautiful" she commented.
"not as beautiful as you are" i said, kissing her gently on the cheek.
"why did you do that to me?" she asked, all of a sudden.
"do what?"
"why did you tell me that you had already moved on? it was only two weeks. we could have survived. we loved each other so much. whyd you do it?"
"its not that i wanted to. i just thought that if i could think that you were over me, then i could at least try to get over you to. and i didnt think i was coming back this early." i told her, watching her the whole time.
"oh" was her reply.
