I'm a recovering self harmer who doesn't want to be triggered by quotes describing self harm and suicide in detail. But, thank you so much for assuming sh/t about me. I really, really appreciate that. People like you shouldn't be allowed on the Internet.

I agree yet disagree. Here we should be allowed to freely be ourselves yet I do get the whole triggering thing.

Oh my god. I'm just like you and I don't think we're being "put in the dark." Steve just doesn't want other people to be TRIGGERED. That's literally it. We're not being "treated differently", EVERYONE who posts those kind of quotes doesn't have them show up. It's not even a big deal, considering they still show up on profiles.

You obviously aren't 'just like us' because if you were then you'd understand that it's not fair to be put down and separated from everyone else like we are every other day in our own, personal lives. This site is about inspirational quotes, yes. But while some people may see certain quotes as depressing or 'triggering', others might find it as a source of comfort, inspiration and HELP. They let people know that others understand what they're going through, can explain things about themselves they didn't understand before, and just, knowing that there are other people out there that have gone through tough things too. Who is anyone to decide which types of quotes are inspirational. Maybe for me, seeing things about life always being good and happy trigger ME and make ME feel depressed. No one cares about those, yet they're allowed to be posted. The only reason ours aren't is because we're the minority. What happened to freedom of speech?

That's why I specifically called out quotes that "rambled about depression." As in, the ones that are nothing but how upset or depressed someone is without any creativity or inspiration. I'm completely aware that quotes that involve depression can be uplifting or inspirational or at least have some sort of poetic value, as I mentioned in another comment on this quote.

No. i didn't mean messed up in a bad way. Believe me, I love my friends more than anything or anyone. They're my life. I meant messed up as in unstable in a sense. I mean sure they're mistakes and not their fault and hurting. I got you. I meant no disrespect. I just meant they're not normal. Sorry if I offended you :/

I'm Christian, I know not all churches are like that. Plus, almost every church around where I live has a gay pride flag hanging up so yeah, I know churches aren't really like that

Actually, we will take YOUR electricity away, It was discovered in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Which is in America. YAAAAAYYY So we could actually take away mostly the whole list you made because it's based on electricity. BUT YOU CAN HAVE THE TEA BECAUSE MOST AMERICANS DON'T CARE FOR IT WHICH IS A REAL SHAME. Because I love thy Tea.
I don't really care about any of this because I rather live in England than America anyway, but who cares.
