Okay, my little brother has autism.
He is three years old, and his parents our divorced. My ex-stepmother is married to an abusive man. Our father is a recovering alcholic. My present step-mother is as well. It just kills me that he will NEVER be treated 'normal' because of his autism. He will always be looked at funny. And even though autism can stregnthen abilities, such as learning, he will always be treated like he is retarded and can't fend for himself. He is socially akward, but then again, who doesn't have their days? He won't get to have a 'normal' childhood. He already goes through enough, I just.. I wish I could switch places with him. I just wish society wouldn't make it so hard for him to be treated the same. But I had to vent this.. Thanks for reading.
