    easy for me
    to explain
    but i'm not
    trying to be
    lazy, it's just
    that' i'm so
    f.ucking
    tired
    and i have
    no motivation

To Santa Claus and Little Sisters
    By, Anonymous
    Once,
On yellow paper, with green lines, he wrote a poem,
    And called it "Chops"
Because that was the name of his dog,
And that's what it was all about.
And his teacher gave him an "A"
    and a gold star,
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
And read it to all his aunts.
That was the year his sister was born,
With tiny toenails and no hair,
And Father Tracy took them to the zoo
And let them sing on the bus.
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a Christmas card
Signed with a row of x's.
And his father always tucked him in at night,
And he was always there to do it.
    Once,
On white paper, with blue lines, he wrote another poem.
    And he called it "Autumn"
Because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about.
And his teacher gave him an "A"
And told him to write more clearly.
And his mother didn't hang it on the kitchen door
    Because the door
    Had just been painted
That was the year his sister got glasses,
With black frames and thick lenses
And the kids told him why mother and father
    Kissed a lot.
    And Father Tracy smoked cigars
And left butts on the pews,
And the girl around the block laughed
When he went to see Santa Claus at Macy's
And his father stopped tucking him in at night,
And got mad at him when he cried for him to.
    Once,
On paper torn from his notebook, he wrote another poem,
And he called it "Question Marked Innocence",
Because that was the name of his grief
And that's what it was all about.
And the professor gave him an "A"
And a strange and steady look.
And his mother never hung it on the door
Because he never let her see it.
That year he found his sister necking on the back porch
And his parents never kissed, or even smiled.
And he forgot how the end of "Apostle's Creed" went,
    And Father Tracy died.
And the girl around the block wore too much make-up
That made him cough when he kissed her,
    But he kissed her anyway
    Once
At 3 a.m., he tucked himself in bed,
    His father snoring soundly.
He tried another poem, on the back of a pack of matches,
And he called it "absolutely nothing"
Because that's what it was all about.
And he gave himself an "A"
And a slash on each damp wrist
And hung it on the bathroom door,
Because he couldn't reach the kitchen.

My friends and I started the first day of kindergarten
with sweaty palms and runs in our tights
and Dillon got bashful when he saw me get on the bus
and hid his head in the seat.
And Michelle and I played dress up for hours in her mother's closet
talking about what it would be like to act like
    the big kids.
My friends and I started the first day of middle school
with sweaty palms and new jeans
and Dillon and I kissed under the jungle gym last year
but he liked another girl more than me.
And Michelle kissed all of her big brother's friends
and tried to be just like
    the big kids.
My friends and I started the first day of high school
with sweaty palms and big text books
and Dillon has been dating Hannah for two months
and gives me look in the hallway.
And it seems like Michelle has been trying to play dress up in her
    mother's closet again
and all the boys look at her and she loves it
and it seems like no one will take you seriously unless
    you're a big kid.
My friends and I said goodbye on the last day of Senior Year
with fond memories and our graduation caps
and Dillon took his own life last year
because Hannah forgot they were dating for a night.
And Michelle stays home mostly now
because her baby needs her more than she needs her degree
    and it scares me now
    because we are
    the big kids.

    Poem
She's proud of herself but she won't explain why, it's been almost a week since she last even tried. But the voices don't stop and today they won, will she go for a razor or end it with a gun? After hours of crying and arguing with herself, she gives in and opens the box on her shelf. Overwhelmed with emotions she selects her blade, oddly delighted with the chouce that she's made. So once again she takes a razor to er vein, and without even flinching or feeling no pain. Well, there is pain but it is mistaken for praise, she is lacking in judgement because of her daze. She sits there emotionless, blood pouring from her wrist, giving in to the feeling she's so long resist. A smile crosses her face as it spills down her arm, she's caught up in the evil we know as self-harm.
    Self harm awareness.

    A pill for the pain,
    Two for the lies.
    Three for the smiles,
    I have to hide behind.
    Four for the times,
    when you weren't around,
    Five for the reason,
    I no longer care.
    Ten for the scars,
    Twenty for the abuse,
Thirty more for my pitiful excuse.
    Forty for my friends,
    Fifty for the family,
    A promise to them,
that I was never really happy.
    Sixty for the thoughts,
    Of ending my life,
    Seventy just out of spite.
    Eighty for being lost,
    Ninety for you not seeing,
    Ninety eight for you,
    And darling?
    One Hundred for me.

Oh, why were you late then? Did the family caravan break down? Did your mum get in the car and the wheels fall off? Did you get sent home from Jeremy Kyle for being too ugly?
