I turned 18 today.
I still believe Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth.
I still climb trees.
I still cry when I watch Bambi.
I still dress up in my mom’s jewelry and heels.

He likes me back. He hangs out with me at school football games. He holds my hand. He puts his hands around my waist to pull me into a kiss. He cuddles with me on those lazy days. He's the one I turn to when I'm hurt. He's the one I count on to cheer me up when I'm sad. He calls me beautiful. He compliments my hair and outfits. He tickles me until I scream for him to stop, even though I like it. He plays with my hair. He draws hearts all over my school agenda. He gives me a quick peck on the cheek when we pass in the hall. He writes me notes whenever he can, and I write ones back. He gives me his hoodie when I'm cold. He gives me his hoodie even when I'm not. He teases me relentlessly, but always makes me feel amazing. He makes me feel wanted. He loves me and he's taking me to homecoming. Sadly, this is all just one huge plot twist.
