This poem was written by an eight grade boy.
Our Generation
Our generation will be known for nothing
Never will anybody say,
We were the peak of mankind.
That is wrong, the truth is
Our generation was a failure.
Thinking that
We actually succeeded
Is a waste. And we know
Living only for money and power
Is the way to go.
Being loving, respectful, and kind
Is a dumb thing to do.
Forgetting about that time,
Will not be easy, but we will try.
Changing our world for the better
Is something we never did.
Giving up
Was how we handled our problems.
Working hard
Was a joke.
We knew that
People thought we couldn't come back.
That might be true,
Unless we turn things around.

Do you guys remember Billy (from 'in his arms')? He was the young boy who died from a disease of his lung. Billy's character was based off of someone who attends my high school. His name is Connor, he's a freshman, and he has collapsing lung. He went in for surgery last night to get new lungs and while they said the operation took a long time, it was a success, but the recovery will not be quick or easy. I'm so nervous for him because I love the kid so much. If you guys could just keep him in your thoughts for a while, I'd appreciate it. He deserves all the support he can get.
Love you Connor. Get better soon, bud.

So my science teacher has a rule that if you throw something into the air you have just "volunteered to clean the floor".
He also has another rule that if your chair goes off of all 4 legs you must push it in and sit or kneel on the floor before him asking you about 200 years later what you did wrong and you having to yell it through the room.
Why is it that every day I'm sitting on the ground and the same friends always trying to clean around me.
An Everyday science class:
Mr. Adamchyzk: And this blah blah blah is equal to this blah blah blah and now Sarah has just volunteered to clean the floor.
Sarah: All I did was throw my pen up above me to catch it?!
Mr. Adamchyzk: Well why? Start cleaning the floor.
Mr. Adamchyzk: Now a blah blah blah has turned into a blah blah blah and Isabelle doesn't want to sit in her chair any more. You can either sit on the ground or kneel.
So Sahrah is picking up stuff and I throw a piece of paper to her to help and have to crawl around on all 4's because I'm on "ground arrest" helping her clean the floor.
He never asked me what I did wrong.
