    I'll mouth, ''I love you.''
    Chapter 7
    Avalaya
The next morning, school went quickly. Nobody noticed me; nobody said anything about me being mute. Carson didn't talk to me at school and when I woke up he was already gone for school. After he apologised last night, I left the bathroom. I didn't know what had got into him. I drove to the address Josh had gave me and got out. It was an old warehouse. I didn't know if this was the place. I walked inside to hear noises and saw a guy punching a punching bag. ''Avalaya?'' he questioned. I nodded my head. ''Yes, Josh has told me all about you. I'm David.'' He had dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. He looked around my age, maybe a few years older. ''So, laya, show me what you got,'' he smirked. In a moment I had him against the wall. ''You are good, I didn't believe you where Laya.''
''David, where do you wa-'' a guys voice stopped abruptly. I turned to see an older guy standing at the door.
''This is Laya,'' David said, hoarsely.
''Laya? No way… she's so little,'' the guy said and I glared at him.
''Anyway, Laya, you can let go of me now.'' I let go of him and he got his breathe. I got my phone out, curious of one thing.
I typed, 'why aren't there any people here?'
''Oh, nobody usually comes on Tuesdays,'' he said. ''Josh just thought you'd like to come and check the place out.'' I looked around the place, it looked a lot like the old place I used to do MMA at. I was tempted to start punching one of the punching bags but realised I had came straight after school and was in my school uniform. ''Say, theres a party at my cousins house on Friday. Do you want to go? You're new, right, so you could meet heaps of new people.'' I nodded my head. ''So that's a yes?'' I nodded once again. ''Okay, give me your number and I'll text you the details later on. I'll come and pick you up, kay?'' I gave him my number. This would be my first party, Emilee had tried to get me to go to parties back at home but I had never wanted to. Honestly, I felt like if I went to the party, it may impress Carson. It may tell him that I'm a normal person except I don't talk.
Soon after I left and went to the place that was now my 'home'. ''Where have you been?'' Carson asked as soon as I walked into the house. I furrowed my eyebrows. He got a paper from the table and a pen, handing it to me. ''Write.'' I shook my head.
    I write, 'no.'
    ''Why not?'' Carson asked.
'I don't need to tell you,' I wrote. Carson obviously didn't like that answer.
''Just, just tell me… I was worried.'' That alone made me want to tell him, that also made me want to kiss him.
    'I went to visit someone.'
''Who?'' I shook my head. I wasn't telling him that. He smiled. ''Okay, fine. I was just worried. I thought something happened to you, Ava.'' 'Ava,' he called me Ava!
I knew from that moment that I was falling fast and hard for this arrogant jerk.

I hope you like it! :D
Teaser: I saw a picture of a smiling girl. She was at the beach, a locket around her neck. The very locket that I was wearing right now.

    Second Chance //
    Chapter 32
Suzan finally stopped the car at a parking spot next to a building I recognized. The building was only about 6 blocks away from the school.
"Okay, I will slowly open the trunk. On the count to 3, we roll out of the car as silently as possible and then we run." Brett whispered.
    I nodded my head.
"1, 2, 3!" Brett slowly opened the trunk and we both ran out of the car as quickly as possible before Suzan noticed us.
After running 3 blocks, we both stopped running, trying to catch our breath.
"Should we go home first?" I asked, still trying to catch my breath.
"Nah, we should just go to school. We're already late." Brett said.
"I hope we don't get detention."
"Yeah. Race you there?" Brett purposed.
"Challenge accepted." I put my hand out for a hand shake. Brett light pushed me away and ran without even shaking my hand.
"Brett, you cheater!" I yelled. Brett laughed at that comment.
I ran, trying to catch up with him, but he was fast. We were near the entrance of the school. Brett ran down the stairs to the front door of the school. Bad move.
I slided down the railing and got to the front door a second before Brett.
    "Yes! Victory!" I shouted.
    "D/mn it!"
"Haha, cheaters never win." I said as I sticked my tongue out.
We were walking on the empty hallways, still laughing.
"What period is it right now?" I asked.
"First period already passed. So we better get to second period." Brett replied.
I took a look at myself and Brett. "Aren't we attractive right now, Brett?" I said sarcastially. Brett and I had messy hair right now, and we were still in our pajamas.
"This is great, now we can look attractive together." Brett said sarcastically. We both started cracking up.
"Let's hurry up to class. We're already late." I reminded him.
"There is a faster way to get there." Brett responded.
"There i- BRETT!" Brett threw me over his shoulder and we both started laugh again as he ran to math class. When we got to math class, Brett finally put me down.
When we walked in, the whole class turned quiet. Everyone was staring at us.
"Brett and Melissa. Why are you two late.. in your pajamas?" Mrs. Johnson asked.
Everyone in the class started laughing. My cheeks flared up.
We both were about to say something until-
"Forget it, I don't want to know. Just go to your seats." Mrs. Johnson ordered.
I walked to my seat with Bonnie, Lauren, and Stella. They look like they were trying to hold in their laughter.
    "What?" I asked, confused.
And that's when they couldn't hold their laughter anymore, and started cracking up. What do they find so funny?
    "Girls!" Mrs. Johnson yelled.
"Sorry" the girls said in unison.
Bonnie turned to me. "Melissa, you know that everybody thinks that you and Brett... you know."
    "What?" I asked, still clueless.
"Forget it, Melissa is too innocent." Stella reminded.
Suddenly, it all began to click in my mind.
"Wait...., hold on. It's nothing like that!" I said, my cheeks becoming red again.
    "Sure it's not." Layla joked.
Class eventually ended. Emma handed me an extra pair of clothes. "Thanks."
All of us girls were by our lockers.
"So why were you two late to school?" Lauren asked.
"The better question is, why were you two in your PJs?" Bonnie asked.
    "It's a long story." I replied.
"Well tell us! Or I'mn going to assume that you and Brett-"
"Okay, fine! I'll tell you all the story." I said.
I began telling them everything that happen yesterday. Me finding out that dad lied, the adoptation papers, and getting stuck in Suzan's car, and yada yada yada.
"Melissa, I think you should tell your dad that you know about the adoptation." Layla recommended.
"If I do, wouldn't I have been hiding in Suzan's car for nothing?"
"Yeah, but who cares. You need to talk to your dad." Lauren said.
"I know! How about after school, we go to your house. We could maybe help you with your dad and Suzan problem!" Stella suggested.
    "I don't know..."
"Too bad. We're going to your house today." Bonnie finished.
for the next couple of chapters, theres gonna be more drama, i guess. haha. :P please fave if you read the chapter and comment if you want to be notified for the next chapter. (:

    Girls Like me .
    Chapter 7.
“You tell him girl.” Zoe gave me an approving wink.
I smiled back at her, pleased with Jake’s reaction.
“Hey, look at that!” Jaycie pointed.
We all look towards where she had pointed, seeing a jet ski rental place.
“Anyone got 50 bucks?” Ryan asked, seeing the rental fees.
I pulled out two twenties and a ten from my bag, handing them to Ryan.
“It’s the least I can do.” I smiled.
We paid for the Jet Ski’s, then placed our things in the rental lockers.
“Who’s riding with who?” Zoe asked. “We only had enough to rent 3 Jet Ski’s for 2 hours.”
Jaycie quickly clung to Noah, making it pretty clear who she would be riding with. Jaycie stepped over to Ryan’s side, which only left me with Jake. He gave me a small smile, and it only felt right to give him one in return. I didn’t want to make this anymore awkward than it had to be.
“That settles that.” Ryan said, giving us each a Jet Ski key. “Let’s go!”
We all rushed down to the jet skis, claiming the one we wanted. I picked out a bright neon green one, and being that Jake was a guy, he didn’t really mind the color.
“Do you know how to work this?” I giggled, trying to put the key into the ignition.
Sure, I was being a bit of a flirt, but it was all part of the plan, right? Jake laughed; helping me put the key in the correct way. I then climbed onto the Jet Ski, and Jake climbed on right behind me. His body was pressed up tight against mine, even though there was clearly enough room on the set.
“Better hold on.” I turned around, smiling at him. Our lips nearly touched. “I’m a crazy driver.”
“Whatever you say.” He teased, wrapping his arms around my toned waist.
The gentle touch of his strong hands gave an instant flashback of all those memories 2 years ago. All the summer nights I had tried so hard to forget. No Bree, stop it. Just drive.
I twisted the throttle, and the Jet Ski took off. We instantly became soaked as I made sharp turns and hit rapid speeds.
“Slow down Bree!” Jake said in an almost serious tone.
    “Why?” I laughed. “You scared?”
“Slow down!” Jake said more sternly.
    “Oh settle dow-"
    “Bree, lookout!” Jake screamed.
As I looked ahead, the image of a large half broken tree trunk came into view. I tried to swerve, but I couldn’t. It was too late. Jake held my waist tightly, trying to pull me off of the Jet Ski, and save me from the collision.
As he pulled me off of the slippery black leather seat, we plunged into the cold ocean water.
I could taste the salty flavoring seep into my taste buds, and the sharp metal Jet Ski propeller,
    piercing into my leg.
Yay, new chapter already :D haha, feedback? What do you guys think is going to happen? (: I always hate when people end chapters with cliff hangers..but i'm one of those people, sorry. ---Hint---
I broke down, how could I have been so stupid? I could have just pulled her off a little further to the left, and we wouldn’t be in this situation.

    11:11; make a wish
    --------------- chapter one --------
    K a y l a n ' s p . o . v
What if every 11:11, birthday, and shooting star wish came true?
l must be dreaming! I. must. be. dreaming ! That's what I kept saying to
myself. He loves me? Is it real? Is it not real? Last night, I made a wish.
At 11:11, on the dot, I wished he would love me. Now here I am, looking
into his eyes, in shock, because he just said he loved me.
" Kaylan?" he questioned, waving his abnormally large hand in front of my face.
I jumped. " Sorry," he said, " Just wanted to make sure you were still alive."
He smiled at his own joke. I continued to stay still, until the bus rolled around
the corner. He must have pulled me on the bus and sat me down, because I did
not remember getting to seat 11. Coincidence. Issaya's big blue eyes watched me.
I smiled at him, which made him smile. Quite a chain reaction.
" Is it true?" I asked him in a hushed tone. " Do you REALLY love me?"
He nodded. " I've had mixed feelings for weeks now. But last night,
around 11:15 I'd say, I woke up and couldn't get you out of my mind. I just could not
fall back to sleep. I realized it was because I loved you. Once I admitted it, I fell asleep...
And had a dream about you."
Woah. 11:15 ? It has to be my wish.
"You okay babe?" He said. Babe? I smiled. The sound of that coming from his
beautiful lips , refering to me, made me want to dance.
" I'm fine. I'm just taking it all in."
" Do you love me?" he asked.
    I shrugged. " I dunnoooo...."
    Pain crossed his face.
" I'm just kidding." I said, " of course I love you. I have since I met you 6 years ago."
He smiled again, a half smile. It was beautiful, it gave me chills.
How can this be possible? Tell me I'm dreaming.
We talked for the rest of the bus ride. As we pulled up to the school, he pulled out a single
red rose from his backpack, kissed me, and walked off to his first period class.
" What just happened?" Zayna, my best girl friend, asked. She watched him give me the
rose. She watched him kiss me. And now, she's watching my eyes and smile.
" He said he loved me.." I said.
Her jaw dropped open. I could tell she was exited. We walked to our lockers and off to class.
The day was like a dream. I didn't remember any classes. I only remember looking at the clock, at
11:11, and wishing it would never end.
And never end, oh it never would. Forever stuck in my wishes.
I will never get out of this SICK dream.

    SO FAR AWAY
    - Chapter 4 - Ben's POV -
I've only known Clare for a total of six days. I never thought it was possible to fall that head-over-heels in love with someobdy for only knowing them for less than a week. People may say it's crazy to care and love a person so much when you've only known them for six days. I even thought it was crazy before I met Clare. But it's not; it's the most magical feeling in the whole entire world. Being a guy, I never thought I would say that in a million years. I never thought I would admitt that a girl meant more to me than anything else. But there was just something about Clare; almost like we were meant to be. We were madly in love with each other. We spent every minute we could with each other those six days. Even though we both knew Spring Break would come to an end we tried not to think about it and never brought it up. We tried to enjoy the moment and not think about what will come in the future. But as we sit on the beach, Clare's last night in California, we start to face reality of it all and came to realilization that Clare would be leaving tomorrow morning and we would probably never see each other again.
"What's wrong?" I asked her. She was laying in my arms playing with the cool sand with a worried expression on her face. "This is my last night here." she said as if I never thought of it. "I know. I wished so many times that this night would never end, that we'd never have to say goodbye and just lay here together, forever." A tear feel softly on her cheek. I started to play with her chestnut brown hair. "I guess it's time to just face reality. We knew that this day was going to come." I held her tight as tears silently feel from her eyes. I tried to keep myself from crying. The waves of the beach started to crash on the shore.
"What if we don't have to say goodbye?" I asked hopefully. She rubbed the tears away from her face. "What do you mean?" she asked. "Long distance relationship." I suggested. She sat up and looked at me with her jaw dropped in shock. "Those NEVER work out, Ben. Besides, I bet a bunch of girls are just waiting to go out with you back in Ohio." I took her and and started to play with it. "Look Clare, if we're both willing to make it work it will work. If you love me as much as I love you then we'll find a way. No matter how many miles keep us a part I'm still going to love you." She blushed bright red. "You just know all the right things to say, don't you?" she asked followed by a smile. "Yeah, I know." I smirked. She slapped my arm, "That's exactly why this is never going to work. Girls are going to fall for you left and right and I'm going to be practically half way across the country so I won't be able to stop them." She gathered her chestnut colored hair into a pony tail while waiting for me to continue convincing her that a long distance relalationship would work. "Like guys aren't going to try to get with you, Clare? It's going to be tough but we can do this. Please, I can't imagine my life anymore knowing you won't love me. I don't think I'll be able to stand not talking to you. Besides, long distance relationships are so much easier now-a-days with cellphones, skype, facebook and millions of other ways to communicate. Clare, I love you and I don't want to lose you. Please." I begged. I was desprete, I needed Clare more than anything, I was that crazy about her. She slowly bobbed her head back and forth thinking about it. "Now that I think about, I think I'll go completely crazy without being in some form of a relationship with you. But Ben, it's not even like our colleges are in the same state. It's not like in a few months we'll be reunited; we've already been accepted into colleges and can't change that now." I grabbed her hand and stared at her straight in the eyes, "Listen Clare, I don't care about that. All I know is I want to be with you; if that means a long distance realtionship we can manage. After college we can move to the same state and live happily ever after." I suggested, trying to get her to agree. "What about my dream of traveling the world?" she asked shyly. "After college, I'll go with you Clare. Your dream is my dream now." She bit her lip, trying to hink even more. It was so late at night, my parents are probably at my aunt's house worrying to death about me. "I guess a long distance relationship would be romantic. If it's the only option we have, I guess we'll have to go for it. We can make it work because I'm in love with you." I smiled at her, happy that she agreed. "I'm in love with you too Clare Fowler." She smiled back and me and we kissed; for the the last time in this paradise where we had met.
feedback? how are you liking this story? i promise its going to start getting really dramatic and even cuter/more romantic. haha. please fav/comment; it really motivates me to write more.

    - Chapter 3 - Clare's POV -
I leaned against the door and smiled to myself. Was I in love with a guy I had just met? Was that even possible or was I just way in over my head? I silently tip toped further into the room to find two beds filled with all my friends. I quietly slipped off my shoes with a huge smiling still smeared all over my face. "You were out late and what are you so happy about anyways?" My friend Leah said startling me half to death. "I thought you were asleep." I said in a frightened voice. "Thanks for replying to my text messages. Your lucky I didn't worry about you to death. I just figured you ran into Zac Efron and he asked you out for tea." she joked. I got into the crowded bed, "Sorry, goodnight." I told her. I closed my eyes knowing I would get no sleep tonight because all I would be thinking about was Ben. "Is there a reason you're still smiling? And you haven't told me where you were anways?" Leah whispered, trying not to wake the others. "I met someone." I told her. Her eyes widened. "Shut up! Tell me everything." I told Leah about our whole day and she listened in awe. "And you're going to see him tomorrow?!" she asked excitedly. I nodded, still smiling with the same smile that never left my face. "That's adorable, Clare. Definitely the cutest spring break romance I've ever heard." she added while turning off the bed side lamp and doozing off. It took me a while to fall asleep because I was reliving the day I had just had and trying to think of my day tomorrow with Ben. Then I finally realized that I better get some sleep cause a whole new day with Ben was waiting for me and the sooner I feel asleep the sooner it would come.
That day we toured hollywood, shopped in LA (well I shopped), and went to see all the famous sights. It was nice to have somebody to explore the world with. After a long day of sight seeing, he surprised me with a moonlit picnic on the beach. It was totally cliche and cheesy but it was all so perfect. "Do you ever feel like there's more to life than getting a job, getting married, settling down and having a family?" I asked him. I was leaned against him while munching on some dessert from our picnic. "I don't know. I mean I guess. What do you mean?" he asked. I listened to the waves crash and looked around to find we were all alone, so late at night. "I don't know. It's stupid really. I just feel like there's supposed to be more adventure. I've dreamed about traveling all over the world and just making the most out of life. I just don't know what I want. I know it's stupid to say because we're graduating in several months but I don't think I want to live the normal life, the american dream." He moved the hair away from my face, "I like that. That you have a dream that you're so comitted to. I wish I was more like you. I'm planning on just getting a regular job and settling down like everyone else. I've always wanted to become a doctor since I was little so I guess it's kind of my dream." I giggled without really thinking. "What?" he asked. "Nothing. It's just you know when you can dream you can dream about anything, right?" He started to laugh with me. "Well at least it's practidble. But, sometimes I wish I was more like you."
I got up to my feet and held out my hands to help him up. "You can. Follow me." I said while walking off. "Clare? Clare? Where are we going?" he asked nervouslly. I could tell he wasn't the type for surprises. I started to climb up the rocks next on the beach. "Clare? Don't do that; it's dangerous." I giggled again, "I thought you said you wanted to be more like me. Living on the edge with risks." He climbed after me until we reached the top. "I said I wish I was more like you. I can't be more like you; it's not me." he commented nervouslly. "Why wish when you can be?" I asked. He looked at me with a confused expression on his face. I stared down at the ocean waves nearly a hundred feet below, watching the waves crash against the rocks. "Jump." I demanded him. "Are you insane?" he asked in fear. "No, I'm just living on the edge. You know, like you said you wish you could be. Don't worry, I'll jump with you." He grabbed my arm. "No, I won't let you do that. Come on, Clare. this is insane. Let's just go back down." he instructed me. "Ben, there's this certain rush you get when you take risks. You can't live your life on the safe side all the time. The feeling I get when I do things like this makes me feel alive. Come on, please." I begged. "Clare, it won't be fun, trust me it has death written all over it and-" Before he could say anymore I jumped into the ocean. "Clare!" I heard him yell on my way down. I landed safely in the water, as planned and he landed right next to me. "Are you okay?" I asked concerned. "Okay? I feel amazing. You were right, that rush you get is the best feeling ever." I continued to tred water to keep me afloat. "Better feeling than this?" I asked while kissing him. After I pulled away he answered, "No that definitely beats any feeling in the world. Just being with you, Clare is the best feeling in the whole entire world." We both treded water for a while just starting at each other. "I know this is only the second day we've spent together and I just met you yesterday," he started off by saying breaking the silence, "But these have been the best two days of my life. And since we're taking risks here; I'm going to take one right now. Clare, I love you." The biggest rush I had ever felt zoomed in my entire body. "Ben, I love you too." He kissed me, which was honestly the most amazing feeling ever. It felt different than kissing any other boy; it was so hard to explain why. "Weren't you glad you took the risk in telling me?" I asked while we decided to swim back to shore. "It was definitely worth it."
i'm going to keep writing this story. but you guys need to do me a favor and fav and comment cause honestly those are the only things that are motivating me to keep writing. so thanks so much:) love you all. sorry it's a boring start. i'm going to try my best to get another chapter out tonight! thanks again!

I've heard about love before. My friends had expierienced it, it was on tv, it was almost everywhere. It was just every girl I went out with just didn't seem to click with me for some reason. But then I met her. And I guess everything changed. From the moment I saw her I just had this feeling that I had to follow her and get to know her. It was weird but I'm just accepting the fact that it was probably fate.
"So what do you have on your agenda?" I asked her. She put her camera around her neck while moving her chestnut colored hair out of the way. "Well I don't know. Just exploring I guess. I kind of just go with the flow and don't plan at all." she admitted. We continued to walk on the beach. "Where are you from?" I asked her. She looked at me with beautiful hazel eyes. "I'm from New Hampshire. Just a small state with well nothing." she admitted, followed by a laugh. "How about you?" she asked. "I'm from Ohio; another state where nothing really happens." I told her while putting my hands in my shorts' pockets. We continued walking to the very end of the beach, just talking the whole time, telling each other about ourselves. I was fascinated with everything Clare said. She seemed pretty interested in what I had to say too. It felt as if we could have talked to each other for days on end without running out of things to say.
She peered over at the sunset. "Oh it's getting late." she mentioned. "Want to go grab some dinner?" I asked her. She blushed and nodded, saying, "I'd like that." We walked into a nice reasturant that had a lovely view of the beach. "It's beautiful here." she mentioned while looking out the large windows of the resturant. "Yeah it is." I admitted. She checked her phone and then quickly put it away. "Is everything okay?" I asked her. "Yeah, just my friends wondering where I am. They're just grabbing a bite at the same place they were earlier today." she said rolling her eyes. "Well, if they don't feel like doing much tomorrow and you do you, we could always do this again tomorrow. I mean, my parents are practically letting me lose around LA all alone. I have nothing to do." I told her. Maybe a little too willingly. I honestly just wasn't thinking about anything. All I knew is that I wanted to spend more time with Clare. "That would be fun. Definitely, let me give you my number so we can meet up tomorrow." she said. I gave her my phone and she gave me hers and we exchanged numbers.
After we ate the bill came. "How much was my meal?" she asked. I took my wallet out from my pocket. "Let me pay. What kind of gentleman would I be if I let the lady pay on the first date?" I asked her. Again, I had no idea what was going on with me. It was like I was talking and not thinking at all. I just said what was on my mind not scared of what would happen. Her face turned bright red. She took a while to speak because she was probably still processing my shocking news that we were on a date. "I guess you're right."
After dinner I walked her back to her hotel. I walked her all the way up to her room. "Sorry it got so late." I admitted. "It's fine. I had a really good time tonight. I can't wait until tomorrow. Maybe we could do some behind the scenes of movie making and stuff." she said leaning against her hotel room door. "Sounds good. I had a really good time today too." I said running out of creative, flirty things to say. "I'm glad I lost this; I mean I'm glad our paths crossed." she said. "Me too." Without any doubt if she felt the same way I was feeling I kissed her softly on the lips. "Goodnight Clare." I told her. "Goodnight Ben." she said back to me, almost in a trance. She opened the door to her room, smiled at me and then disappeared into her room. I leaned against the wall and smiled. That was the best day I've ever had. On my way back to my aunt's house I couldn't stop smiling or thinking about Clare. I was in love and there was no way to stop.

    Chapter 9
    Hayden's Point of View
I ran my fingers down the portrait of Cameron, as I smiled.
I studied how bright his eyes shone in that picture, with his front tooth missing.
"Cameron, I found a friend now." I whispered, staring at the picture.
The picture of Cameron as a child stared back at me without any movement.
"His name is Hunter. He's different, Cam. He treats me like a normal person." I gulped.
Water filled at my eyes at the thought of me talking to a still picture.
I wish Cameron was here, for real.
I wish Cameron was here to listen to what I had to say, and be the protective brother I've always wanted.
"I wish you could meet him, Cam." I finished, taking in a deep breath.
I stared back at the picture for a few more minutes, just mesmerized by Cameron's angelic innocence.
"Hayden! Your friend is here to drive you to school!" Ruth called down from the kitchen.
My heart lept, as I wiped my tears away from my cheeks.
I stuffed Cameron's picture in my bag, as I scurried downstairs.
Ruth frowned as she saw my tear stained face, but she decided it was best to not question me.
"Have a good day at school." she smiled weakly, patting my back.
I gave her a nod in return, as I stepped outside the house.
The cold winter air blew my hair in all different directions, as I paced towards Hunter's car.
I could see him in the driver's seat, nodding his head to the light sound of music.
I stepped towards the passenger door, climbing inside.
I avoided eye contact with Hunter.
I didn't want him to see my red, swollen eyes.
I would have to wait a while until they returned back to normal.
    "Good morning, Hayden." he said.
"Good morning." I quickly said, as he started to drive.
"Is everything okay? You seem a bit jittery." he asked.
I took in a deep breath, slowing down my pace. "I-I'm fine."
From the corner of my eye, I could see Hunter frown.
I just didn't want him to see me so weak.
I dropped my head down during the entire ride, with my lips moving every now and then to the music that was softly coming out his speakers.
"Hayden? We're here." he gently announced, tugging my arm lightly.
My eyes snapped up towards the window, as I stared back at the school's building.
"O-oh. Thanks for the ride." I muttered, quickly getting out of his car.
As I closed the door shut, I quickly sprinted into the building.
I walked as fast as I could without running towards the locker, trying to ditch Hunter.
Suddenly, I felt a hand pull my arm, hard.
I flinched, as I let out a wince of pain.
My bag fell upon the floor, as everything scattered around the floor.
Everything, including my precious picture of Cameron.
I swallowed down hard, as I bent over to retrieve the picture, first.
I silently thanked God that the fram wasn't broken or cracked.
Before I got to touch it, a perfectly manicured hand snatched it out of my sight.
I stared up at Maddi, who was holding the frame in her hand.
"Well, well, Hayden. What do we have here?" she asked, holding up the picture.
I stood up, as I dropped my eyes to the floor.
"Can I have it back?" I asked pleadingly.
    Maddi snickered, ignoring my completely.
"Who is this? Your little brother?" she asked.
She was triggering something inside of me, as I flinched.
"Just give me it back." I gritted through my teeth.
Maddi crossed her arms stubbornly. "Does it mean that much to you?"
    I gulped, nodding meakly.
Maddi smirked evilly, twirling the frame with her finger.
"Well, since it means so much to you, I guess..."
Before she got to finish, the frame came crashing down on the floor, as the glass shattered all around.
    "Oops." she sarcastically cried. "Sorry."
I deleted the last one and put up this one, because i wrote chapter 8 instead of 9.
    so i corrected it (:

    SO FAR AWAY
    - Chapter 1 - Clare's POV -
True love. Very few people know the meaning to these two words. Luckily, I'm one of those few. True love isn't snagging a date with the cutest guy in school and then having him break up with you a week later. True love isn't moving into a new town and having a guy all over you cause your new and "there's something about you." True love isn't exactly settling down for some guy in your town and staying with him because you think you're in love. True love involves fate and a whole lot of luck. Odds are the person meant for you isn't going to live down the street. The world is a big place and if your lucky and fate's on your side you may just find him; like I did.
I never really wanted to fall in love. It wasn't part of my plan. My plan was to make the most out of life, travel the world and do things most people were too afraid to try. I've wanted to ever since I was little. It was my dream; but love would get in the way of it.
I guess I should start at the beginning; how we met.
"Hello California, goodbye New Hampshire." I said confidently strutting out of the LA airport sliding my new sunglasses on. "Now, we only have one week here and I want to make the best out of it. I want to see all the sights, shop, enjoy the food, meet a movie star, maybe even be an extra in a movie." I gleamed to all my friends. We were here in Califronia for our Senior Year Spring Break and all six of us chipped in for the hotel room and were bond to have the most amazing time. My friends wanted to just drive to the nearest beach but they had no sense of adventure. The world was a big place and I was dying to visit California. It was just my personality; traveling, exploring and making the best of life. "Yeah, okay. Have fun doing all those things by yourself cause we came here to relax." One of my friends Leah snapped. The rest of them all agreed with her. "You can relax at home. There's so much to do and see here, come on, please!" I begged. All of them just rolled their eyes at me as we all stuffed into a taxi van to drive over to our hotel.
After we unpacked in our crowded hotel room of six everyone decided to hit the beach. My five friends all put out their colorful towels and layed down to sun bathe. "I'm going to go enjoy the view." I told them while snaching my camera from my bag. They totally weren't understanding the fact that we were in California; I was going to take advantage of it by seeing as many sigths as possible and taking as many chances as I get around here. I walked further on the beach to see everything and took a bunch of pictures.
This was when I met him. You know when you just get a feeling that you need to do something but your not sure why? Well, I had a sudden craving for an icecream and personally I found that to be a sign. I walked into the jampacked icecream place filled with torists. I waited in the long line. Since I had nothing else to do I decided to look at all the pictures I had taken on the way here. My friends clearly didn't know what they were missing out on. They were laying down with their eyes closed in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been too. I paid for the ice cream I had bought and started to walk towards the beach to take some more pictures. "Excuse me, I believe you left this at the ice cream place." A attractive looking guy told me while holding up my wrislet. "Oh thank you so much." I told him sincerely. He was cute but I had no such confidence to talk to him further. I was insecure and didn't want to embarass myself. So after thanking him I continued to walk and sight see. There was this miraculous view that I just needed a picture of. I struggled to take the picture with my ice cream cone in one hand and camera in the other. I finally took a picture but it wasn't any good; so I tried again. The guy who had returned my wrislet to me tapped me on the sholders. "Need help?" he asked followed by a winning smile. I laughed, embarassed, "Yes please. Could you hold my icecream cone?" I asked. He nodded and took the cone away from me while I took the picture. "Thanks again. It's beautiful here." I admitted while taking back my ice cream. "Are you here on vacation?" he asked. I took a lick on my vanilla ice cream and answered him, "Yeah me and my friends are here for spring break. Except none of my friends are very interested in sight seeing and stuff all they want to do is relax on the beach." I admitted to him, I was overjoyed with the fact I was having a conversation with someobody like him. "How about you?" I asked. "My family came here to visit my aunt in her beach house. They're just doing family stuff; so I'm trying to sight see by myself too." This was honeslty too good to be true. This kind of stuff didn't happen to me. If things were going the way they usually did I would have ended up losing my wrislet and dropping my ice cream and wouldn't have even had contact with a cute guy. "Maybe I could tag along, if it's not too much trouble?" he asked. "No, that's no trouble at all." I said faster than I should have. "I'm Clare." I said, holding out my hand for him to shake. He shook it and said back, "Ben. Nice to meet you Clare."
end of chapter one. does everyone think theyre going to like it? im a little on the fence about continuing to write or not. so let me know if you want me to continue writing this. another chapter will be out tomorrow:)

How to Solve a Murder Without Being Murdered:
    ~20~
"I'm sorry I accused you of being a murderer." I admitted to Kyle, embarrassed. "It's fine. I don't blame you, I did seem very suspicious." he chuckled with ease. Now that I wasn't a treat to putting Bethany in harm Kyle seemed like the same Kyle I started to fall for. "So all those threats to me weren't because you were the murderer and didn't want me to figure it out? It was just because you were trying to help Bethany and Jason and didn't want me to put them in harm?" I asked, making sure I absorbed everything correctly. "Yeah. Jason and Bethany are my best friends. They've helped me through a lot. I owed them. I didn't want to see Bethany get hurt and I didn't want Jason to be hurt if they were to be a part." I nodded in approval and smiled. "What's that for?" he asked. "Oh nothing, I just think it was really nice of you to go through all of that for friendship and for your friends to have true love." He smiled back, "I'm just glad it all worked out."
We walked outside to the balcony and gazed at the beautiful campus. "So all the clues I got meant something since you left those notes, right?" I asked. He chuckled again. "Yeah. I mean, if you knew about Amy being disowned then you would know how strict Bethany's parents were and why she had to run away. And if you knew about Jason you would figure out about them being madly in love which also caused her to run away. Of course the pregnancy was the key. The only thing you were wrong of was suspecting me of being the murderer or being a part of it." he told me. "Well, you were a part of it. Just not that way I thought."
In the most nonchalant way, he grabbed my hand. "You're not mad at me anymore?" I asked. He shook his head, "No. I really like you Haley. I like that you're so determined and wanted to have some excitement in your life after living in that small old town for your whole life. I like that about you. You aren't like the other girls in Peachbrook who accept the fact they live in a boring old town and will live their live in dullness." I blushed at his compliments. "I like you too Kyle. I don't know the whole time I was so scared because I thought I was falling for a murderer." He chuckled again. "But in reality you were just helping a few friends. I like that about you; that you value your friendships and you do anything for the people you care about. The fact that you did all of that so your friends could live happily in love together is just so amazing." He blushed at my compliments. I liked Kyle a lot and this whole murder solving got in the way of me falling in love. I wanted to give us another chance. I was wrong about him. I knew it would be risky, what I was about to say but I was determined to be with Kyle. "So, wathcing your two best firends madly in love, doesn't that make you want love?" I asked him. He looked at me staright in the eye and answered, "Yeah, it does." Without further conversation he finally kissed me. "Maybe you can be that girl." he admitted while blushing. It was totally corny but I guess that's another thing I liked about him.
I guess that was the best thing that came from attempting to solve this murder; Kyle. Not to mention friends for life. After we graduated high school Kyle and I both went to Penn State. We shared a dorm with Jason and Bethany and we all got really close. Bethany and Jason's baby girl; Samantha lived with us too. I finally left that small, boring old town and was out to see the world. So I guess if adventure comes calling you, go for it, you'll never know what you'll get out of it.
    The End.
all done:) did everyone like this?!?! dont forget to read my new story; so far away that will be out tomorrow! if you want me to remind you post a comment on this chapter and i will let you know when i post the first chapter of my new story! thanks for staying with me everyone!!
