    Ever lasting love.
    chapter 1. [fav&follow?]
I sat in my old chair next to my fireplace on a cold winter night, with my notepad on my lap. I looked at all of our old letters and memories, and started doodling his name.
I stopped, and thought to myself for a minute.
I'm a 27 year old girl named Hayden, who is still hopelessly in love with my ex, Jason. It was 10 years ago, 1985, in Georgia.
A summer romance that never lasted.
I remember when I first saw him at the county fair like it was yesterday.
I wasn't all that interested in him.
I was with my good friend, Courtney.
Jason came up to me, and I didn't know what he would say.
"Hi, uh, I'm Jason. And you are?" He asked me.
He was stumbling over his words. I could tell he was nervous. Honestly, the last thing I wanted to do was talk to him.
"Um, I'm Hayden." I said. He reached his hand out.
I hesitated for a moment, then slowly moved my hand to shake his.
"Would you like to go out with me sometime? On a date?" He said. I didn't want to hang out with him, at all.
"No." I spat. It sounded more rude then intended.
    "Oh really?" He asked me.
"Yes really." I said and skipped off.
I admit, he was very attractive. He had flawless tan skin, and eyes like the ocean. He had sort of long blond hair all pushed back, while some fell right above his eye. He was also very nice.
But I still didn't want to get to know him, or get close to him.
Honestly, I was kind of playing hard-to-get to see if he was willing to try again.
I walked off to stand in line for a ride, when he came up behind me.
"Please go out with me?" He asked.
"I told you already. No." I stated.
    "Well why not?"
"Because I don't want to go out with you. Okay?" I said.
"If you go out with me, I'll stop bothering you."
What he said didn't make much sense, but I looked into his piercing blue eyes, and decided to say yes.
A smile spread across his face, and he said "Be here tomorrow at 10am."
I nodded, then turned to Courtney. She looked at me all excited.
    I then thought to myself,
    I'll end up regretting this.

    chapter 5. [fav&follow?]
I could tell Destery wasn't getting paid by Vanessa.
He seems way to nice to do anything like that.
We shared an ice cream at Friendly's, then he took me home and asked to hangout again sometime.
I was kind of excited to be honest.
I am really starting to fall for this kid.
    ***
I wacked my annoying alarm clock, and tried going back to sleep.
I was too tired to deal with school.
I just wasn't up for it.
    "Cristy, it's 6:30 wake up!"
I could hear my mom shout from downstairs.
I pulled myself up and grabbed a pair of black Vans, black skinny jeans, and a Paramore T-shirt.
I walked over to my eyeliner and carefully swiped it across my top and bottom lid.
I hugged my mom goodbye and walked outside.
The cold frosty air hit me like a knife.
I exhaled and watched me breath fade into the air.
I walked down my little road and crossed the street to approach my bus stop.
I dropped my backpack on the frosty dirt and sat down on it.
"Sup Cristy?" Nate said to me as he walked up.
"Nothing. Bored as hell." I replied blankly. Nate walked in the middle of the road, and started kicking a rock around.
I walked up and started doing the same thing.
It turned into a game of soccer almost.
It killed time until the bus finally came.
I stepped up and sat down in the cold seat of the school bus and turned my iPod on and listened to Christina Aguilera until we got to the school.
I can't wait to see Des. I thought to myself.

    chapter 4. [fav&follow?]
Vanessa has been shooting me death glares ever since I ran into her.
She always blew things way out of proportion.
Eh, that's not the only thing she blows.
Tonight Destery is supposed to pick me up and we are supposed to get ice cream or something, I don't know.
When I got home i redid my eyeliner and sat in my tv room and watched Spongebob until I heard my doorbell ring.
I quickly texted my mom and told her I was going out.
I opened the door and greeted Des, and we hopped into his gorgous Black Escalade.
"So.. Um, where the hell are you taking me?" I asked him.
I realized I sounded mean, but since this was most likely Vanessa paying him, I really didn't care.
"Uhm, friendlys?" He asked. I nodded my head and looked out the window.
Why did I agree to this? I thought to myself.
    Destery's POV.
Taking this girl out a few times is deffinatly worth 20 bucks a week.
She was so simple and didn't care where we went and didn't talk much.
But when she did talk, she actually was really funny.
I don't think I had ever really heard her talk before.
    But she's actually really nice.
At friendlys we both ordered vanilla friend-z's and sat down in the back.
I realized me and her have a lot in common.
We listen to the same music, we both like video games, we both like the same movies & shows.
I even think I started falling for her.

    chapter 1. [feedback?]
I rolled over and looked at the clock. 6:15. Eh, I can sleep for 5 more minutes...
    ***
"Cristy, get up! It's 6:30!" I heard my mom shout from downstairs.
I forcefully opened my eyes, realizing that I have 20 minutes to take a shower and get ready for school.
I leaped up out of my bed, grabbed whatever I could find to wear and ran downstairs and hopped in the shower.
I really should have got up before, I thought to myself.
I got out, and realized I still had about 10 minutes to blow dry my hair and put make up on. I ran to get my blow dryer and did my hair to give it the usual "poof" its always in.
I grabbed my eyeliner and put it on the top and the bottom of my eye.
I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door.
I approached my bus stop and sat down and talked to my friend, Nate, until the bus finally came.
I dragged myself onto the bus and sat down in my usual seat.
Another dreaded day as a senior.
I finally arrived at my school and sat in the back of the cafeteria and blasted Metallica for the next 20 mintes untill homeroom started. I would always sit in the cafe in the morning alone.
I didn't have much friends, and Nate was in 11th grade, so he would go hang out with all of his 11th grade friends.
The only friends I had went to a different high school, besides one.
    Her name is Ashley.
She is the most popular girl in school, along with one of the most girliest girls in the school. She probably the most gorgeous one, too. The long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, the flawless skin and the perfect smile.
She has half the schools population as her friend, and all the guys want her.
    Then theres me.
    The complete oppisite.
    Black hair and brown eyes.
I listen to metal and rock and dubstep. I get called "scene" or "emo" everyday.
It doesnt bother me anymore though.
It's amazing how me and Ashley can maintain such an amazing friendship, when we are completely different.

part 18(fav or comment if yu like it?)
Since prom is over, there's only about a week left of school.
Everyone is cleaning out lockers, and giving back books. I can't believe junior year is already over.
Since there was one week left, we didn't have any homework, and we didn't really do anything in class. I walked to english, and I thought it's time me and Brooke talked.
I couldn't just not be friends with her all of the sudden over a guy.
"Hey listen, I think we need to talk." I said to her. She looked at me and smiled as if nothing was wrong.
    "What about?" She asked.
"You know what I'm talking about, I don't think we should let a guy ruin our friendship." I said.
She agreed, and it was great to be friends with her again.
    ***
"Bye, see you next year!" I shouted to my favorite teacher.
Today is the last day of school, and I couldn't wait for summer. The first thing I was planning to do today was go to the boardwalk with Leda and Brooke.
"I'm so excited for summer!" Olivia shouted to me on the bus.
"Same." I said with a smile.
Honestly, I really can't wait for senior year, but I still want summer to last forever.
I got off my bus and walked home in the gorgeous 80 degree weather.
When I got home I ran up into my room and grabbed a bikini and a pair of short hollister shorts and a green hollister tank top. I got some grey flip flops and waited for Brooke to pick me up.
I heard the sound of a car pull up, so I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.
    "Bye mom!" I shouted.
"Hey Christina!" Brooke and Leda shouted at the same time.
"Hey!" I said as we drove off to the boardwalk. When we finally arrived, the place was packed.
"Hey lets go play that game!" Brooke shouted.
They went to go play some carnival game, while I wandered. I ran into Blair, Kiara, and Sarah, a few of my close friends that I have known my whole life.
    "Lets go swim!" Sarah shouted.

"Well, I saw you walk outside, and it took me about 10 minutes to get away from Brooke, and I decided to come after you. " Ryan said to me.
"H-how'd you know I was here?" I asked.
"I just had a feeling you would be here. " He said back.
The rain was still coming down and we were sitting in this dry gazibo during out Junior Prom after dark.
"Do you think we should go back? They are going to announce Prom king and queen in about 10 minutes, I believe." He said.
I didn't want to go back, I didn't care about Prom king and queen. It was obvious the Queen is Brooke. "I-i don't really want to go back, I want to go home, will you give me a ride? Please?" I asked.
I was expecting him to say no, because I thought he would want to see who won, but he said,
"Sure, my car is probably a 15 minute walk, though."
I didn't care about walking in the rain at all, I just wanted to be home in my bed.
We walked about 5 minutes, and as we were walking, Ryan stopped.
    "Why'd you stop walking?"
No answer. He had a look as if he was sad.
    "Something wrong?" I asked.
"Listen, Christina, I'm sorry, I really am. I'm sorry I led you on, and hanging out with your best friend, and splitting you guys up. It wasn't my intention. Honestly." He said. It seemed like it took him a lot of courage to say it, and I still couldn't believe it.
"What? Then why did you go out with her?" I asked.
"Well, I thought I didn't have a chance with you. I've talked to some people, I'm not dumb, I know you like some other kid that's at your bus stop." He said. He sounded, jealous.
"I don't like him anymore." I said. We started walking again, and he continued by saying,
"And well, I wanted to make you jealous, I thought maybe you seeing me with someone else would make you like me. It was dumb, I know, and again, I'm sorry."
"Ryan, I don't care anymore." I said to him,
    "Y-you don't?"
"No. I don't. I'm just happy you dumped Brooke." I said.
He looked me in the eyes, and smiled, and I looked at him. The next thing I knew, we were both leaning in, and we kissed.
Maybe it was a good thing I came to prom, after all.

    part 15
I walked into the decorated room. I was impressed with how well it was set up.
The room was dark and had some green and blue flashing lights. Each table had a light pink cloth and a vase full of red roses, and a balloon attached.
There was a table full of desserts from chocolate cupcakes and cheesecake to fudge and cookies. The dance floor was full of people just going crazy while music blasted through the speakers.
All of my friends went to go find guys to dance with, and I just sat there.
I looked over to my left, and saw Ryan and Brooke dancing, and of course, a slow song decided to come on.
Couples filled the dance floor while an Adele song was playing.
I decided to grab my phone and play a game so I didn't look like a loner.
"Hey, why are you sitting alone?" Ryan asked me as he sat down next to me.
I didn't want to let it show that I really just wasn't in the mood to talk to him, so I just said,
    "Nothing."
"Well, want to dance?" He asked. I was shocked.
"D-don't you have Brooke?" I asked.
"Nah, she found some other guy to go makeout with. " He said.
Great. I was his second choice.
As much as I really didn't want to say yes since he came to me when Brooke left, I thought I would say yes. I mean, yeah it's stupid but whatever.
    "Uh, yeah-"
"Ryan! Where have you been?" Brooke said as she sat on his lap.
"Oh, I was just talking to Christina." He said.
She shot me a death glare and looked back at Ryan and said,
    "Well lets go dance!"

I woke up and looked at the clock. Tomorrow night was Prom, and I wasn't that excited. I deffinatly was going, I mean I did buy a dress and everything. I could also hangout with my friends.
Not going with a guy wasn't going to stop me from having fun. I got ready and walked over to my calendar.
Next week was the last week of school, I was glad to leave junior year, but it was also really fun. Only one more year and im done for good.
I got to my bus stop right when the bus came, and listened to my iPod for the rest of the way.
After homeroom, I walked a few classes over to get to math, and sat down in my assigned seat. I sat there taking notes and almost falling asleep for the rest of the time.
I thought to myself about everything while we were being taught a lesson.
About Brooke's outburst and about Ryan, and I remembered I have English next, with Brooke.
Once Math was over, I walked all the way to the other side of school to get to english, and saw Brooke. We made an awkward eye contact and then I sat down on the other side of the room. I swear I saw her looking at me from the corner of my eye, but I could have been seeing things.
    ***
I walked over to my closet, and got my dress out. Prom starts in 2 hours, and me and my 5 friends, Olivia, Leda, Caroline, Kiara, and Nicole decided to all get ready together. I grabbed my purse, got my keys and drove over to Olivia's house.
They were all happy and excited for Prom, but I wasn't. I decided to actually put in some effort in my hair and makeup, so I washed my hair, and blow dried it then curled it. I grabbed my eyeliner and put some on the bottom of my eye and the top. I put on my dress and walked out of the bathroom.
All my friends were already done putting on makeup and their dresses. They were running all around and looking for camera's. I hate taking pictures. They all posed outside by the flowers.
"Christina, come on! Take a picture with us!" Leda shouted to me. I dragged myself over there and took a view pictures.
We got in a car and went of to our junior prom.

"W-who?" I asked. I could hear my heart beat in my ears.
"Ryan Mason!!!" Brooke screamed to me and jumped in joy.
I couldn't believe what I heard. Just a few seconds after I walked away from him, he goes and asks *her* to prom. Why did he always hangout with me? Was it to get closer to Brooke? Is that the only reason he even talked to me? I didn't understand. I couldn't process this. I was just so suprised and heartbroken.
"Hello? Christina?" Brooke said waving her hand in front of my face.
    "What? Oh."
"Haha, whats wrong? Aren't you happy for me?" She asked. I didn't know what to say
"U-uh yeah, sure. I got to go. " I said to her.
"Where are you going? Lunch doesnt end for another 15 mintues!" She called after me.
I just ignored her and walked away. I walked out into the halls, and just wondered.
Some classes were still going on, but I didn't care if I got caught. At this point, I didn't really care about anything.
I went into the school courtyard and lay down in the soft green grass.
It reminded me of when me and Ryan hung out in that field, and almost kissed.
I blased Adele in my ears. I know I may have been overreacting, it is just prom, but Brooke is gorgeous and is willing to do anything with a guy. I wouldn't be shocked if they ended up dating after this.
But I really honestly felt like I love Ryan.
I may not have showed it or even realized it, but I do.

"So, I think I'm going to go to the prom. " I said to Brooke as I sat down in English.
"WHAT?! You are?! That's amazing!" She practically screamed to me.
"Yes, relax relax, I got my dress yesterday. " I said.
I was going to explain to her what it looked like, but the class started.
I sat there for the next 85 minutes of class almost falling asleep every 5 minutes.
When class was finally over, I started walking to lunch and saw Ryan on my way.
"Hey, Christina, there's something I have been meaning to ask you, but I was scared of your answer. " Ryan said to me. Was this it? Was he finally going to ask me to prom?
    "Ask me." I said.
"Well, you know Brooke Robertson? Do you think I should ask her to prom?"
Right when he said that to me, I could feel my heart break. I thought he liked me, he lead me on? My legs started to feel wobbly and my heart was pounding. I couldn't think straight. I honestly really like Ryan. Did Brooke like him? Will she say yes? Should I even go to prom anymore? I didn't know what to say.
The first thing that actually came out of my mouth was, "I'm going to be late for lunch." I walked away without saying anything more and dragged myself to lunch .
I think Brooke is in this lunch.
Great. I walked to where I usually sit with, what judgemental people call, the "scene" kids, and sat down. I saw Brooke sit down with all her popular friends and she looked over at me in excitement.
She hopped up out of her sit and ran up to me and said,
"Guess who just asked me to Prom in the hall!"

"So, where do you want to go first?" asked Ryan as we walked into the pretzel scented mall.
"Hmm, I don't kn-" I stopped in the middle of the sentence and stared at a gorgeous dress in the window of a bridal shop.
It was a light blue silk strapless dress that fell above the knees, and it had a black ribbon around my stomach, kind of like a baby doll dress.
"Christina? Hello?" Ryan said to me.
"What? Oh, um I don't know, where do you want to go?" I said.
"Were you looking at that dress?" He asked me.
    "What? No. I wasn't." I said.
"Oh. So, your not going to Prom?" He asked me.
I shrugged my shoulders, and we continued walking. Maybe if Ryan asked me I would go.
"Hey um, wait at the food court, I'm going to go to the bathroom real quick. " I lied.
When he went around the corner, I ran to the bridal shop and looked at the dress.
was $200 and there was only 2 left, and one of them was my size.
I pulled out my debit card, and debated on whether to get it.
I kind of did want to go to prom.
Maybe Ryan would ask me, then Brooke would get off my case about it.
But I couldn't walk back with a bag in my hand.
I waited until Ryan had to go, and I went and bought the dress.
I got a taxi to take me back home and I ate dinner and went to bed.

"Hi. " I said kind of rudely. I didn't mean to though, my head was still hurting and I was annoyed.
"Hey, are you mad at me or something?" He asked me.
"Oh, no, sorry, I kind of fell yesterday, and my head broke my fall." I said, blushing from embarrasment.
He let out a chuckle, then we didn't talk until class was over. I grabbed my stuff and walked out the door.
"Hey, Christina, wait up!" Ryan called after me. I stopped walking and let him catch up.
"Want to go to the mall today?" He asked.
"Uh, sure. Pick me up at 4?" I said. He nodded and we went our separate ways. Call me crazy, but I think I am falling for Ryan. I haven't thought about Carson at all these past few days, I didn't care to impress him or anything anymore. My life was getting better and better. What could go wrong?
I went to my bus and got on.
I was kind of sad Ryan drove to school, because I can't sit with him or anything.
The bus ride went pretty quick, I sat with Olivia the whole time until she had to get off.
It went by quick. When I got home I texted my mom and reapplied some eyeliner and had something to eat.
I went to my room and put on Spongebob to pass the time.

I woke up the next morning and walked over to my calendar.
It was the first day of June, and prom is in almost 2 weeks.
I hate prom, or anything I had to dress up for, I don't like. I just think it's stupid. Yeah, it's a good way to spend time with your friends before summer starts, but I can always see them next year.
I did my morning routine and got on the bus. I grabbed out my iPod and started listening to Skrillex.
My head still hurt from yesterdays fall.
I got to school and went to homeroom and checked my schedule. English first, lucky me.
At least I have it with Brooke, I guess. I walked all the way to English after the bell rang and sat down next to her. Of course, the first thing she asked me is,
"Prom is in about 2 weeks! What does your dress look like?"
"Brooke, you know that I don't like dressing up. I'm not going and that's final." I said to her.
"But Chriissstinnaaa, you HAVE to go." She said.
Brooke has always been one of those extremely girly girls who loved to dress up.
She is absolutely gorgeous and has blonde hair and piercing grey eyes. She's 5'9 and looks like a model. She always has to wear skirts and does her hair every morning in some new way. She was also one of the most popular girls in school. All the guys like her, and all the girls want to be her. Not to forget, she wins homecoming queen every year.
I don't even know how we are friends honestly. We are completely different. I stand 5'5 and have brown hair and brown eyes. I straighten my hair and wear black skinny jeans and video game shirts everyday. The only reason people know who I am is because of her.
    She's perfect.

He walked to his car and I got up and started to walk. I had about 3 miles to go until I got home. I suddenly regretted not getting a ride. I thought I felt a raindrop, and I looked above me to see black clouds coming my way. Great.
Why didn't I get a ride again? The wind started to pick up, and the rain started coming down. I started to run to try and make it home faster.
I heard thunder rumble above me. How did this happen? 10 minutes ago it was nice and sunny, and now it looks like a tornado may happen. The weather must be bi-polar here.
Thinking about the weather distracted me, and I slipped, right into a 5 inch deep puddle.
    Just. My. Luck.
And even better, my head broke my fall. I just lay there, in the puddle with my head aching.
    My luck is so horrible.
I really wish I got a ride from Ryan.
If I did, I wouldn't be wet head to toe laying in a puddle with my ache hurting.
After about 5 minutes, I got up and looked for my cell phone.
"Sh*t" I said to myself. Where could it be?
I looked around with my blurry vision, and found my phone, completely dry. So *I* fall in the puddle, but somehow my phone survives?
I walked the rest of the way home slowly so my head didn't hurt too much. I got home, got some nice clean and dry clothes and took a shower.
It felt good to not be sitting in a puddle again.

School was over, and my doorbell rang. I went to the door and answered, and there was Ryan. "Are you ready?" He asked.
    "Yup" I said.
I grabbed my phone and quickly texted my mom telling her I was going to be out for the day. We got in Ryan's gorgeous Ferrari. Was he rich or something? I didn't say anything for the first 5 minutes of the car ride, then I asked,
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
    "Relax, Hayden." He said
Ugh I hated when people called my by my last name, and, how did he even know it anyway? I never really realized it, but Ryan was kind of a bad boy. I heard rumors that he gets a detention at least twice a week. But I probably shouldn't trust rumors.
We pulled up to a park. The sun was beating down on the soft lime green grass. There was butterflies flying all around, a playground for little kids, and a lake right next to all of that. It was gorgeous. I had never seen this place before. And, why was he taking me here?
"What are we doing here?" I asked. No answer. Of course.
We got out of the car and we walked over to where the lake was. We sat under a huge tree, and again I asked, "Why are we here?"
"You know, your really annoying sometimes." He said to me. I looked him in the eye with a death glare. I noticed how gorgeous his eyes really were, they were a mix of a blue and a hazel, I had never seen anything like it. And his brown shaggy hair completed his skater look.
Before I knew it, we were both leaning in, and we were interrupted by his phone. We pulled away and he got up to answer his phone.
I was kind of disappointed we didn't kiss.
Wait, was I falling for Ryan Mason?

    part 5
I woke up the next day in a bad mood. Everything was annoying me already and it was only 6:30 in the morning.
I did my morning routine, and went out the door to get to my bus stop.
I approached Carson, and he seemed like he was in a good mood again. What was going on? We talked non stop until the bus came, we got on and I stared out the window until Olivia came on.
    "Hey." I said to her.
    "Aye." She said.
I wasn't quite in the mood to talk to anyone, so the rest of the bus ride was an d awkward silence until we arrived at the school.
I dragged myself up the stairs to homeroom.
Our bus was late so the bell rang right when our bus came. I made my way to homeroom, sat down and started talking to my friend Ethan. I looked at my schedule and saw my first class was history. Great. I think I have History with Ryan. Even better.
I went all the way upstairs once the bell rang and got up to history and sat in my usual seat.
I reached into my backpack to get out the homework, and I heard someone sit in the seat next to me.
"Hello Christina." Ryan said to me.
"How do you know my name?" I asked him, in confusion.
"I heard that kid on the bus say it yesterday."
    "You mean, Carson?" I asked.
    "Yeah whatever. " He said.
I got the feeling he really didn't like Carson just by the way he said "Yeah whatever" and the look on his face when I sat with him on the bus yesterday.
It was all an awkward silence from then until class finally started. Once the bell rang, Ryan asked me if I wanted to hangout after school. He begged me into it and he said that he would pick me up at 4. I wasn't sure what to expect.
