    Depression does not always mean
Beautiful girls shattering at the wrists
A glorified, heroic battle for your sanity
Or mothers that never got the chance to say good-bye
    Sometimes depression means
Not getting out of bed for three days
Because your feet refuse to believe
That they will not shatter upon impact with the floor
    Sometimes depression means
    That summoning the willpower
To go downstairs and do the laundry
Is the most impressive thing you accomplish that week
    Sometimes depression means
Lying on the floor staring at the ceiling for hours
Because you cannot convince your body
That it is capable of movement
    Sometimes depression means
Not being able to write for weeks
Because the only words you have to offer the world
Are trapped and drowning and I swear to God I’m trying
    Sometimes depression means
That every single bone in your body aches
But you have to keep going through the motions
Because you are not allowed to call in to work depressed
    Sometimes depression means
Ignoring every phone call for an entire month
Because yes, they have the right number
But you’re not the person they’re looking for, not anymore

    Rarely do you
    see an adult walking
    around with scars
    littering their body;
    now is it because
    they were a happier
    generation?
    Or, maybe,
    it's because
    most of us
    just don't
    make it
    that far.

    Fake smile.
    Dead eyes.
    Scratch wrists.
    Bruised thighs.
    White pills.
    Rope tied.
    Gun loaded.
    Suicide.

You see the smile on my face
Don't be excited, it's more of a disgrace
Thought it was love at first sight
I was wrong, The one who stabbed me was my knight
Just a young girl, so stupid and so dumb
Maybe one day my body can just go numb
See the blood dropping from my wrists
I lost the fight, don't make my fists
I lay down in silence and I whisper to me,
"Don't worry, you are set free."
I lay there in silence and close my eyes
I'm too weak to tell any goodbyes
Feel like I'm being lifted from my bed
My final thoughts are, "I'm finally dead."

Who would love a girl with scars? Scars on her wrists. Scars on her thighs.
Who would love a girl with a suicidal mind, a broken heart and a fake smile like mine?

    She said faintly
    'I don't care'
    but you could tell
from the way her voice cracked
that the tears were about to
fall and she got ready to wipe
    them with her crimson stained
    wrists that in fact
    she really did care.

On November 30th, wear a black ribbon on your wrist if you have ever self harmed, binged, purged, starved yourself, or have been suicidaI.
If you see someone else with a black ribbon, go up to the and tell them to stay strong.

Thorns as sharp as blades, and
welting roses too. Bruises cover her
body, and you don't have a clue.
Swollen eyes and a broken heart, crimson escapes from her wrist.
For she is just like the fog, and disappears like the mist.

So there are these two girls in school.
They are one year younger than i am.
They are twins. With green eyes and long curly brown hair.
Both super shy, and no one even cared to get their names right.
People in my class started making fun of them
as they walked throught the halls.
I could see the tears brimming in their eyes, and they kept walking.
Then this year, they came to school.
One of the girls shaved off the side of her head. The other side was dyed red.
The other girl cut her locks short too, and dyed it black with blue highlights.
And they admitted they both cut.
They are only 13. I never even thought they would do that, but I was wrong to assume.
I was wrong to be a bystander.
Two beautiful girls now are scarred and I feel like I could have stopped it.
    Girls, I'm sorry.
So please, when you see someone get bullied like that, try to be nice to them more. Maybe you could save a life.
    True Story.

Your laughing? Im dying, but will never care or know...
Is it still fun? Now I've cut myself?
Yes, yes it is for you, because you will never know!
Is it still funny? When i run home Crying, begging for God to just kill me?
Is it still JUST A JOKE? when My wrist is bleeding heavily?
Am I still just you victim? When i fall to the fall dead...
Is it still amazing to pick on me? When My Mother is crying over my dead body...
Is it still funny? When my mother is crying on the phone to the hospital begging for them to come quick...
Are you still laughing? When my parents call the school to say that I've diedand everyone is alerted...
    Am I still worhtless now?
Am I still just a waste of space?
    Im dead....
And I'm not ever coming back,
    not even as an angel...

    Today
I wrote the names of my best friends all
over my legs and wrists. I did this because
if I want to start cutting again
    I'd know who's actually hurting.
