Chapter One

It was a seemingly normal day, a monday to be precise. The alarm on my phone had gone off and that meant it was time for me to get up so I chould go to work. I walked into my bathroom and turned on the shower. While it was heating up, I looked at the newest color addition in my hair. I had gotten it right before school ended for the summer. Right before I had taken my first job at Hot Topic in the mall. As I was thinking about training some new employee today, I could feel the warm steam of the water and got in.
When I was done, I got out, dried off, and put on my robe. Then, I walked over to the sink, washed my face, and brushed my teeth. I stepped out of the bathroom door and over to my vanity so I could put on my makeup and fix my hair. That took all of ten minutes when I saw I was running late already. I went to my closet and quickly threw on a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized black sweatshirt, followed by my pair of black combat boots and a beanie.
I ran down the stairs and grabbed my keys. Then, I got into my car and was driving down the street. About fifteen minutes later, I was at work. Thanking God I'd made it in time to get my coffee, I walked into the food court, going towards the Starbucks they had. After I'd gotten my normal cup of caffine, I started into work. Today was my day to open and get everything set up. I dug the employee key they gave me out and opened the door. When I got in, I went into the back and turned on the lights and started the music for the day. Then, I heard someone come in.
