Life Goes On
she stared out the window as her mom drove her to wendy's after she got picked up from her friends halloween party. "What do you want, Holly? were goin inside," her mom questioned. "umm, ill have a mountain dew, medium fries, and a cheeseburger with ketchup please mum. " Holly got the same thing every time. they picked up their food and arrived at the table.
"how was the party?"
"great, we had too much fun and we went swimming in their neighbors yard. how was work?"
"boring as usual, thanks tho, but i need to talk to you about something."
"okay, talk"
Holly was puzzled when her mom when they needed to talk.
"your dad and i have been fighting much lately," tears came to hollys eyes. "theres no easy way to say this but ill just come out and say it. were divorcing."
tears raced down Hollys face like a flash flood.
"You cant mom you cant," she sobbed, making an unfortunate scene in the middle if wendys.
"it will be best hol, i promise. itll get better i promise."
turns out, this was the worst few months of hollys life. most of it, she kept it secret from her mom.
