2 weeks before.
“Jade?” I swung around, searching for the person calling my name. It was Kyle. He was leaning against a tree, his short, dark hair messy but sexy; his glowing green eyes were looking straight into my soul. I stopped. I smiled. I stuffed my hands in my pocket and walked shyly over to him. Gosh, he was so big. His muscled arms were folded and he was smiling at me, flashing his perfect teeth.
“Hey babe,” I said, smiling and pulled him into a tight hug. He winked at me but didn’t exactly say hello back.
“Do you want to come over tonight and stay for the weekend? My parents are out of town and they won’t be back until Sunday.” He pulled me onto him so that we were pressed against each other. I looked up at him, “What about my parents? Remember what happened last time, Kyle.” I said, slightly annoyed at his ignorance. He nodded.
“Yeah I remember, but just convince them that you’re going over to see, Katie. Is that hard?” He wrapped his hands around my waist, so my chest was pressed onto his. I see what he’s trying to do. I laughed, “Alright, fine.” He grinned. I stroked his cheek before pressing my cold lips onto his warm ones. He smiled against my mouth and kissed me back harder. I didn’t exactly want to make out in front of everyone at school, so I pulled away but pecked his lips one more time before I heard someone call my name. I looked around. I saw Kyle narrowing his eyebrows when he noticed that Jake was walking over to us. Jake. I watched that boy approach us, he was also very good looking. He has light brown hair and gorgeous hazel eyes, makes you want to stare into them forever. His hair is cut back like a soldier, another major turn on as he was also very muscly, but smaller than Kyle that’s for sure.
“Hey!” he said, “Just wanted to see if you wanted to come to Luke’s party tonight at 8:00. It’s going to be awesome, nearly everyone is coming!” He smiled, showing his teeth. Aw, you just wanted to eat him he was so adorable.
“Yes-“
“She’s busy.” Kyle interrupted, his deep voice, threatening. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. I smiled, “Sorry, Jakey, seems like I’m busy for the weekend. Thanks though. Have fun!” I tried giving him a smile but he was looking at Kyle. No, he wasn’t ‘looking’, he was glaring.
“Why do you got to answer for her?” He said, not liking Kyle’s move.
I felt Kyle clench behind me, “What’s it to you?”
“She has a mouth of her own. You’re going to take that away from her too?” Jake said, sternly. About that, there are a lot of rules in mine and Kyle’s relationship. Some very mean ones, but what can I say? I love him.
“Enough,” I said, almost shouting, “Will you boys ever get on?”
“Control your man, Jade, before someone else does.” Jake said, walking off.
What is this tension between them? They used to be such good buddies? Since I got with Kyle, things have changed. Funny, Kyle never wants to talk about it.
