I hate how everyone is always judging twelve year olds.
Just because I'm a twelve year old, doesn't make me a bad person.
    I don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I don't drink.
Just because some twelve year olds do doesn't mean all the other twelves do.

There was once a boy, he
fell in love with the girl
    with brown hair and
    beautiful blue eyes.
    When she said
    I love you too,
    his whole world
    seemed to fall
    into place.
    He fell in love with
    her a little more each
    day;
    he loved her with
    everything he was;
    dedicating himself
    to her in every way.
    He was only sixteen
    but he was sure
    that he would call
    her his wife one day.
Then one night, the girl drank
    too much vodka, and with
    dead eyes and alcohol flavored
lips, she kissed all the boys.
That night, the boy drank away
    his pain, numbing himself from
the inside out; the whiskey, burning
    his throat with every swig.
    As he drank and drank,
    the boy realized that this
is real life, not a fairytale,
    and there are no
    happy endings.

Lollipops turn into cigarettes. The innocent ones turn into slu.ts. Homework goes in the trash. Mobile phones are being used in class. Detention becomes suspension. Soda becomes vodka. Bikes become cars. Kisses turn into se.x. Remember when getting high meant swinging on the playground? When protection meant wearing a helmet? When the worst things you could get from boys were cooties? Dad’s shoulders were the highest place on earth and mum was your hero? Your worst enemies were your siblings. Race issues were about who ran the fastest. War was only a card game. And the only drug you knew was cough medicine. When wearing a skirt didn’t make you a slu.t. The most pain you felt was when you skinned your knees, and goodbyes only meant until tomorrow? And we couldn’t wait to grow up.

I can't decide what I will be like in college.
    I don't know if I'll continue to stay the same person that I am now;
Or if I will become this huge partier and like to drink and smoke.
I can't decide mainly because it's like I do want to become that person, but at the same time I don't.
I don't because I've been this way for my whole life.
I've never been much of a "partier".
Sure, I've been to plenty parties and socialized.
    I won't admit to saying I haven't.
But I've always made the decision not to drink or smoke at these parties because I said to myself that it was just plain stupid.
But I do want to become that person because I can change who I am to other people.
Maybe in high school I wasn't a drinker, but maybe in college I want to be the person everyone comes up to to ask where the new party is.
Or to be that girl that is smart, but knows how to party and handle her alcohol.
Plus, the school I am going to be attending is a majoy party school, I think it might be for the better.
I've always wanted to be that person and I know I would enjoy being her.
I just don't know if I could live with myself if I were to ever make the wrong decision.
My mother would respect whatever choice I did.
She knows the school is a party school.
She knows I care more about grades than drinking.
And I know that even if I were to party, I would make for damn sure to make time for studying.
I worked too hard to lose it that fast.
The reason why I wouldn't know if I could lve with my decisions is because it would be going against everything I've ever stood against.
I'm okay with drinking, and smoking even.
I'm just indifferent to the possibilty of car accidents.
Of course I am smart enough not to do that, but even still.
My best friend joked to me the other day and said to me "watch you ending up becoming more of a partier and drinker than me. like I will seriously laugh so hard and go out and party with you."
That's another reason why I would want to.
I have fun with her sober, but I want to experience the "fun" or "crazy" part of college life.
I'm just scared to see the outcome of what I would become.

    You said you'd be here...
When I first started getting bad, you said you'd be here.
Where were you when I started cutting?
Where were you when I started drinking?
Where were you when I went to the doctors scared?
Where were you when I had that breakdown at 2 am?
Where were you when I tried to commit suicide?
    You promised you'd be here.
    Where were you?
Nowhere to be found. Always too fu.cking busy.
    It's funny really.
    You promised you'd be here.
    But you aren't here.
    You never were

    She likes the poison
She likes it in her mind
    She likes what it does
And the things it leaves behind
    She likes the poison
She likes what it does best
    But honey did you know
    It'll just cause more regret?
    Your life is gone
    Your heart is broke
    Hide behind the dirty
    Cigarette smoke
