We are such hypocrites
I hate it say it, but it's true.
We talk constantly about not gossiping, to the point were we are all sick of it.
We'll talk about how it's bad, and we reprimand others for doing it.
But when prayer time comes around, we'll all be like,
"Oh, you will never believe it! This girl at my school did this"
and "He did that with her" and "she said that to her."
We tell ourselves we aren't really doing it for gossip,
that we are just praying for them, to help them.
Yeah, right.
We might have fooled our minds,
but our hearts know sure and well that we're doing it for us.
Or even worse, we'll say something like,
"He did that the other day. Lord bless him."
No, I am not trying to act all high and mighty, because this is one of my worst habits, pretending to be talking about someone else for their own good,
but really just be gossiping for fun.
And admit it.
We'll gossip about someone at least once this week. I sure know I will.
All I ask is that you try to be cautious of it. Try to catch yourself, and try not to do it.
Because how on earth are we suppose to bring others home
when they think we are hypocrites?
