Well if you've never heard any controversy over gay marriage on the news, seen street protestors, or just heard those rude remarks in school/online (here for example) you must be blind. If you have, you know their main argument is homosexuality being a sin or against the Bible.

Considering the amount of abuse I've seen, I think I have a right to jump to conclusions. If you don't agree with this, fine, it's not like you have to, really couldn't care less what you think of my opinion.

If no sin is greater than another, then gays and child molesters are equally as sinful? Sounds like this "God" needs to get his sh_t together.

The Bible also says all sins are the same in God's eyes. In the Bible, it says that wearing flashy jewelry (gold, pearls, etc.) and many other things like that are sins. And, those who preach against homosexuality use that as an argument and say that being homosexual is as bad as murdering someone.
Therefore, those preaching hate are going to hell for that. And most people will go to hell for wearing jewelry. And playing (American) football. Also, round haircuts are a sin as well. So, yeah, people who have ever had a round haircut are going to hell.

See but a lot of those who 'hate' gays, think by making someone 'not gay', they are saving them from hell.

if there is such thing as God then i doubt he'd 'make a person gay' only for them to be sent to hell
And even if that was true, it's not their place to tell someone how to live their life or not, it's not a choice so they can't make someone "not gay"

Well, the point is that they believe these people "chose" to be homosexual and therefor punish them for going against their God. That makes it okay in their book.

I'm sorry but Christian logic makes me want to punch a wall.

That's actually not Christian logic. Almost every church where I live (where I live is mainly Catholic and Protestant) preaches that you don't choose to love the same , you're born that way and you can't change.
Yeah, Christian logic is really based around acceptance and the whole "love thy neighbor" thing.
It's the closed minded that preach the hate.

I prefer Protestant Christians to others, from what I've been taught they seem to have much fairer views

Baptism is protestant, and havng grown up in Baptist churches and environments before breaking away, I've seen the opposite. Baptists are really bigoted in my experience.

Well, that's a whole different story. Honestly, it does keep peace and law in some countries. I just wish people had more respect for the people who don't believe the same as they do.
