As I
see all of these jokes around the internet about self harm, I die
a little bit.
Even my friends talk about it. 'How could you do that to
yourself?'
Everytime I hear or see something like that, all I can think
about is how they don't have the right to talk about
that.
They don't have the right, until it happens to them.
They don't have the right until they hate themselfs so much,
that they pick up the knife, and do it, not for attention, but as
a punishment for being themself.
They don't have the right until they wish they had never been
born.
They don't have the right until they make it so obvious to
everyone else, but no one can see.
They don't have the right until it becomes more than a
punishment, but more as a routine.
They don't have the right until they look themselfs in the
mirror while crying, and tell themselfs how ugly they are. That
they will always be second best and press harder after each
phrase.
They don't have the right until they realize, that for the
rest of their lives, they will always have to bare the fact that
this was once, and might still be, part of their life.
They don't have the right until they can look into someones
eyes, and realize that maybe they smile with their mouths, but
certainly not their eyes.
They don't have the right until they realize that it's
them against the world.
They don't have the right, until they realize that THEY are
the only ones that can pull themselfs out of that situation.
They don't have the right until they realize that they should
stop hurting themselfs, because it's only making it
worse.
They don't have the right until they pull themselfs out of
that situation.
They HAVE the right, once they've turned their life around,
and got themselfs out of that stage. With no ones help.
They HAVE the right once they realize that even though no one is
there for them, someday, someone will be.
They HAVE the right when they realize, that they have read this
quote and have done all of this.
They HAVE the right, when they realize, that they are just
like me.
