I'm assuming you mean like one parent is from Ireland and one parent is from India?? If that's the case then yeah I mentioned that in my quote that if a parent is from that country it still counts because you are more than likely eligible to be a citizen even if you aren't one already and even if you aren't aware that you are

do people seriously not understand the difference between ethnicity and nationality are you f//UCKING
i'm going to say something to try and help explain it ((yo baca i got your back kinda))
when you travel to different countries by plane, you have to fill out a report
on that report, it will ask you your nationality
you do not list British, Irish, Welsh, Italian, Greek, French, or any of that s//hit because that is not your nationality
you were not born in any of those countries
you are not a LEGAL CITIZEN of those countries
you were born in america
you are an american citizen, and more than likely only an american citizen
you are american
that is your nationality
your ethnicity would be British, Irish, Welsh, Italian, Greek, French, etc.
if you're stupid and you don't understand any of that, then maybe don't comment on this quote anymore, or at all, because you are embarrassing yourself.
that is all, good day.

Umm in America...we are diverse and yes, we are all those nationalities.
You see.. America is a country not like any other because we have people from all over the world here.
Usually people in other countries only have ancestors from that same country so you can't say you are anything else because it isn't in your blood.
I understand that isn't your culture...but it's ours.
So now.. I am English, Italian, Brazilian, Greek, and a whole hellll of a lot others because that's how we do it here in America.
sorry

Also, I live in America, so you do not "understand that it isn't (my) culture" because you don't understand I AM AMERICAN. I'm a British and American citizen and it is so annoying when I say I'm British and somebody else says yeah me too when they are fully American, born in America to two American parents. They are not British to me, an actual British person and the rest of the world sees it that way too.

Your nationality and ethnicity are not the same thing.
Your nationality is where you hold citizenship.
Do you mean to tell me you are a British, Italian, Brazilian, Greek, AND American citizen?

Ooops well you sounded pretty anti American.
I never said I was a citizen of any of those...
But my NATIONALITIES are those.
I have every right to say what is in my family because whether it be my parents or great, great, great, great grandparents... that country is in my blood and I'm proud to be that nationality.
Thing I do know is that I am an American Citizen and I have this thing called freedom soooo

You are completely misunderstanding me.
Go open up your AMERICAN passport and look at the section for nationality. All it will say is American because that is your only nationality.
Ethnically you are all the things you listed but nationality wise you are not.
They are not synonyms.
That was the point of this quote and you utterly missed it.

I'm 50% Irish and 50% Indian. I consider myself Indian and Irish even though I'm not a citizen of those countries
