"Because that is obviously not the story he got."
Michael explained
"You know it's funny how these things are never your
fault." I bluntly said while I ate a fry.
"You don't believe me do you?" He asked.
"I'm not sure if I should." I frowned.
"Alright, I don't blame you for not believing me. But,
you are going to in the end" He assured.
"Why are you so sure? What if I don't like you? What if
I like Roger?" I challanged.
"But you don't." He smiled.
"You don't know that, how do you know that if I
don't even know that" I argued. He shrugged.
"Ella, I don't know about what's going to happen
tomorrow. But, I can see it in your eyes today. You wanted to be
with me. Otherwise, you could have been with Roger." Michael
said.
"He's on a date." I rolled my eyes. It made me so
angry to imagine what Roger and Colleen were up to now.
"Who's he on a date with?" Michael asked.
"Colleen" I answered. Michael raised his eyebrows and
began laughing.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Colleen has a boyfriend." He said.
"What?" I questioned
"She has a boyfriend and she's a loyal girl. So I'm
guessing Roger lied to you." Michael took a sip of his coke.
My thoughts became scattered and suddenly I was in confusion. Why
would Roger lie to me? Was he trying to make me jealous? Ok,
let's say that was the answer. But, in that case where did he
go? What was he going to do here all night? He doesn't even
know anyone here. God, as if my plate with Michael was clean now
I had to deal with Roger.
"Michael, could you take me home I don't feel
good." I politely asked. Michael looked annoyed. It was
obvious from the look on his face that he knew I was lying. But,
he probably didn't want to be rude so he just said sure. We
threw our food away and calmy drove back to Disney Land. The
whole ride was silent. I hoped I hadn't upset Michael. But,
to be honest that was the last thing on my mind right now. All I
cared about was figuring out where Roger was and who he was with.
Michael parked in front of the hotel.
"Thanks, I had a good time." I smiled. Michael nodded
with a frown.
"What's wrong Michael?" I asked.
"Why bother asking, I'm sure you're more concerned
about Roger anyways." He answered.
"Roger's my best friend. He's like a brother to
me." I defended.
"It doesn't seem like that to me." He argued.
"I don't understand, you were the one so said that I
love you like five minutes ago." I said.
"Yeah, but you were the one who told me not to be so
sure." Michael said.
"Michael, that's not what I meant." I tried
"Get out Ella." He said
"What?!" I gasped. Michael took a deep breath and
muttered
"Leave."
I gasped and got out of the car slammed the door and went
upstairs. I couldn't believe he would say that to me after
all I did for him. I listened to him, went a long with his stupid
ideas and now I was the bad guy? I leaned back against the
door and let my tears spill.
I felt the door vibrating behind me and flinched
torwards.
