Chapter Three

“Why the heck is Jess screaming?” Dominic asked, opening my door and walking in, followed by Connor.
“Hey Little Bear,” I said, ignoring my 20 year old brother as my five year old one ran to me and sat on my lap.
“Hi Izzy,” he said. “Why is Jess screaming?”
“Do you want the truth?” I asked and he nodded.
“She’s crazy,” I said quietly to him and he giggled.
“Hey, Jess, hand me my charger,” I said. “It’s already plugged in.”
She handed it to me and I plugged my phone in.
“Wanna play Angry Birds?” I asked my little brother.
“Yeah!” he said and I handed him my plugged in phone.
“What are you two up to?” Dom asked.
“Just chilling,” I said. “Why?”
“Jess was screaming,” he chuckled.
“Well, yeah,” Jess said. “Girls do that.”
“Okay, Connor, before they brainwash you, let’s go,” Dominic chuckled.
“But I wanna stay,” Connor whined.
“Go with Dom,” I said to my little brother. “I’ll play with you later okay?”
“Okay,” he said, taking my older brother’s hand and walking out of my room.
“YOUR PHONE IS SPAZZING,” Jess shouted. “Hello? No this is her friend Jess can I take a message?”
“NO!” I shouted, jumping on her and knocking her to the ground. “God dang it woman I’m right here just gimme the phone.”
I took my cellphone from her and put it to my ear.
“Sorry about that,” I laughed, still kind of lopsided and on top of Jess. “She’s an, um, interesting individual.”
“I can tell,” an Irish voice chuckled. “I actually butt dialed you, to be honest.”
“To be honest, if you butt dialed me you wouldn’t have asked Jess for me,” I said.
“Shut up I’m bored,” he chuckled. “What’s up?”
“Not much,” I said. “I’m bored out of my right mind.”
“What right mind?” Jess asked and Niall laughed.
“Shut up Jess,” I said.
“Put me on speaker,” Niall said and I did as I was asked.
“Hi Jess,” he said.
“Hi Niall!” Jess shouted. “I heard you have a crush on my best friend. You’ve got it in for you.”
“Shut up Jess,” I said again and Niall laughed.
“She’s cute, yeah,” he said. “I hear you’ve got a crush on one of my band mates.”
“Who told you?” she asked.
“You just did,” he chuckled and Jess pouted.
“Alright, which one is it,” Niall asked her.
“Who’s the oldest in the room right now?” she asked.
“Liam,” Niall said. “It’s Lou isn’t it?”
“How’d you know?” Jess asked.
“You just told me,” he responded and Jess pouted again.
“Man he’s good,” she chuckled and I smiled.
“I’m hungry,” I whined.
“Jess go get Izzy food,” Niall said.
“Why?” Jess asked.
“Because I said so,” Niall laughed.
“Oh,” Jess said, smirking. “I see what you’re gonna do here. Okay, ask her out, I’ll be back.”
“He’s not going to ask me out!” I shouted as Jess walked out the door.
“Actually,” Niall said and I chuckled.
“Well this isn’t awkward,” I said and Niall nervously laughed.
“So, Izzy, I’m in town until Saturday. Do you wanna hang out a bit tomorrow?” he asked.
“Sure,” I said and the door burst open.
Of course it was Jess.
“Niall Horan just asked out my best friend!” she shouted, throwing a green apple at me and jumping around.
“No need to throw an apple at me,” I said as Niall laughed.
“Niall did you just ask her out?” a slow, deep British accent asked.
“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t,” Niall said and I chuckled.
Jess continued to scream and I took Niall off speaker.
“I’m gonna go so Jess will stop screaming,” I chuckled. “Text me?”
“I would’ve anyway,” he said and I smiled, hanging up my phone.
“Dude,” Jess said, standing in front of me.
Considering I was sitting on the floor, I looked up at her.
“Yes?” I asked.
“The Niall James Horan just asked you out,” she said.
“I know,” I responded smiling, “I was there.”
“You have got to be freaking out inside,” she said.
“I am,” I chuckled. “Trust me, I am.”
And that was the day I got asked out by Niall Horan. Tomorrow is going to be crazy, considering Jess will probably sleep over and wake me up before dawn to remind me that I have a date with a member of One Direction. Holy crap, I have a date with a member of One Direction… The One Direction.
