Do it, tell him. I told him and it ended up that he liked me for a year and never had the courage to tell me. So do like you said; you'll never know unless you try

I really like your quote. But I like indirectly told that to the guy I really liked and he completely friendzoned me. And when I look back on my favorites, this will bring back the memory of him. So this is my <3 on your quote, it will be an actual heart eventually. Just not yet. Once the hurt is over, I promise it will be :)
