After yet another amazing dinner made by myself, I decided to
jump in Liam's shower. When I was done I dressed in
Liam's sweatpants and a t-shirt of his that I'd claimed
a long time ago. Then I walked into his living room where he
has waiting for me with a huge bowl of popcorn in his lap.
"Ready yet?" I laughed as I pulled my sweatshirt over
his old ACDC tee. "Sure." I knelt down by the DVD
player and questioned, "What movie?" "Toy Story,
of course!" I knew that was coming, Toy Story is the only
movie we ever watch besides the other Disney classics every
once in a while. I just tapped the power button because I knew
it was already in. When I walked back to my spot I tripped over
my own two feet but steadied myself before I toppled over. I
looked up slowly, expecting his judgemental eyes to be staring
into me. But he didn't even notice. He was too busy
reciting the commercials. What a dork ;)
After a few short moments against his warm, comfortable body I
was sound asleep. I was up before Liam the next morning. We
must have stayed in the same position the whole night, because
his arms were still across my stomach under the blanket. It was
really hard to get up without waking him, because he's such
a light sleeper. Somehow he stayed sound until I tip-toed away
and creaked the floorboard that I NEVER remember to avoid. I
let my face cringe hoping that he would just stretch and lay
back down. No luck. He slipped into my green slippers that I
had left there accidentally. I ran to the bathroom because I
didn't want him to think I was watching him sleep. When I
passed the Kitchen, I got an awkward wave from Karen and Geoff.
I sort of ignored them both and lightly closed the bathroom
door. I
did my business
and washed my hands. Then I slowly crept into the Kitchen where
I found only Liam's mom. "Ha.. Hi." I laughed,
remembering the event that just took place. "Good Morning,
Nikole." She said with the usual cheesy morning grin. No
matter how many times I tell her, she never calls me Nikki.
"Morning." I answered, lost in my thoughts.
"Where's Mr. Geoff?" After a 7 second pause, she
replied, "Oh, he just left." She also seemed to be
drowning in her imagination. "You okay?" I asked,
brewing coffee. I'm the only one that drinks it here
besides Geoff. Liam and his mom prefer Tea. "Well..."
She stretched the single word as it fell off of her lips, but
immediately fell silent when Liam strolled in.
"Morning!" His positive attitude lit up the room as
he grazed my shoulder when he passed by to get a mug of Tea.
Karen gave me a squeeze then said, "Bye guys, I'm off
to work." She kissed Liam's cheek and was out the
door. "Bye mom." Liam silently whispered when the
door closed. I turned around and looked into his eyes, asking
what was going on. His fingers nervously played with the handle
on his cup.
"Umm, nothing. Why would you think something was
wrong?"
