Ryan Halligan
Some of you may know who Ryan is. if you don't, I will tell you. Ryan was a regular thirteen year old boy. He had speech and walking delay. In fourth grade he went to regular classes because he had caught up. In fifth grade a group of boys began bullying him. He would go home and tell his parents. His parents truly cared and tried to help. Ryan wouldn't let his parents schedual a conferance, meet the bully's parents, anything. So finally ryan and his dad came up with the karate kid plan. The plan was ryan would learn to defent himself if the bully ever laid a finger on him. One day in seventh grade the bully did. The boys got in a fight. Ryan's dad came and broke up the fight. Ryan didn't have a scratch on him. After school every day his parent's would ask him how school and the bully went. Ryan said everything was fine. One day he said him and the bully became friends. Ryan was a bit of a comedian. So he decided to tell the bully a story he thought was funny. The story was that he was having appendix pains and he was brought to the hospital. The bully spread around the rumor that ryan was gay because he got aids. Ryan tried to get everyone to stop calling him gay but they wouldn't. Now it is the summer time. Ryan is on A.I.M. He is talking to this girl Ashley. she is pretending to be his girlfriend. When eighth grade came around Ryan told some people about Ashley. Ashley is a popular girl. She denied all of it and just laughed in his face. He yelled "It's people like you that make me want to commit suicide!" Ryan went home and commited suicide. Ryan's dad tried to figure out everything, why the suicide and more. Finally, someone told him. He forgave ashley because it wasn't entirely her fault. then one day ryan's dad got a call. It was that the bully still was spreading rumors about Ryan. Ryan is dead! his dad drove to the bully's house and explained everything to the bully's parents. The bully broke down and he started crying. Ryan's dad left and never saw them again.

Rip Ryan his father came to my school in 6th grade to tell his story. It was so sad I cried because u could hear the pain in his voice:(

oh my gosh. that makes me so sad. why do people have to bully? my friend and cousin just committed suicide over bullying. why can't we all just get along?
