Look Back-
Chapter one
I woke to the sound of screaming from my
little sister's room. I rolled out of bed and flew across the
house. The door was blocked. I could hear her crying for help.
"Sh*t. Kira!" I slammed into the door and her dresser
fell to the floor. I pushed the door open, and ran over to her
bed. My stepfather was on top of her, and tears were streaming
down her face. "Get. Out." He warned me. "What the
f*ck are you doing? Get off of her!" I screamed.
"Get out of here you little sh*t." He snarled at me.
"Get off of her you f*cking freak!" He got off of her
and pulled up his pants. "I told you to get out and leave me
to my business. Are we gonna have a problem?" Kira huddled
into a corner, and closed her eyes. "F*ck you Scott." I
looked at him and realized I shouldn't have said that. He
shook his head, and smirked at me. The last thing I felt was a
blow to the stomach.
I woke up on the floor, with Kira lying next
to me. I sat up and realized Kira wasn't moving at all.
"No. God please no. Kira! Kira!" I lifted her up and
she slowly opened her eyes. "Ian? What happened?" I
breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh thank God. Are you okay
Kira?" "It hurts, Ian. Where's mommy?" I had
forgotten about my mom. "Kira. Stay here, okay? If you hear
footsteps, hide under your bed. Okay?" She nodded hurriedly.
I got up and opened the door. No sign of Scott. I walked quietly
to my mom's room, and slowly opened the door. Scott was
sitting on the bed smoking a cigarette. "Well well, look at
what we have here. The p*ssy who can't take a hit." I
ignored him. "Where's my mom, Scott." He smirked
again, God I hate when he does that. "Have a look around,
Ian." I looked around the room and noticed a hand sticking
out from beneath the bed. My hand flew over my mouth and tears
welled up in my eyes. "You sick F*CK." I sprinted out
of the room and into Kira's. "Kira, we have to go.
Now." She crawled out from underneath her bed. "Ian
what's wrong? I want mommy!" I picked her up and kissed
her head. "We have to go. It's gonna be okay." I
grabbed my phone and flew out the front door, where Scott was
waiting. Kira's eyes grew wide as he stared at us. I ran down
the street as fast as I could while holding her, tears streaming
down my face. Don't look back. Don't look back. I kept
repeating it over and over in my mind.
