Picking Up The Pieces♥
Chapter 1 Part 1

              I sat looking in the mirror, the way I did everyday. I saw a girl who was holding onto the past because she was afraid to let go. I knew that I needed to move on and accept the truth, but it was the hardest I had ever needed to cope with.

           In two hours my Aunt Cassidy would be picking me up. I have been spending the last six months in Seatac Psychiatric Hospital.

           As I started to get up and over to my bed, I caught a glimpse of the girl I used to be. When I studied my features, I saw my parents. Even though I have my mother's deep blue eyes, high cheek bones, and chesnut skin, my most captivating features were the ones I shared with my father. The brunette color of my hair, down to my button nose and smile I resembled him more then any one else in our family. While sharing these traits with my parents, one quality could not be traced back to them. My sister Summer and I both had long, cascading ringlets, which flowed evenly down our backs.

          I took one last look at myself and with that, I walked away. I quickly began to cram the rest of my things in my last suitcase. As I picked them up to bring them over to the door, I knocked my phone off the table and on to the floor. As I walked back over to get my phone, I heard it ringing under the bed. I had spent so much time at the mirror, I had missed four calls from Cassidy. When I finally picked my phone up, she was calling again.

This time I answered.

Hey guys, I know, I know it was kinda boring and slow, but I wanted to get the feel of the character and get her appearance down. It gets sooo much better I promise(:
I actually struggled a bit with some wording problems, that's why it took me so long to post.
