Dear One Direction
I know that
one day I will go on with my life. Finish school and start a
family. I may not be a Direction forever, but in fifty years,
when I have grandchildren, I will be watching the television and
there’ll be news that one of the five boys of One Direction
has passed away. I will tremble a little and sit down. My
grandchildren would look at me and ask what’s wrong?
I’ll reply nothing but slowly get up and go to my room.
I’ll open a drawer and there’ll be a box. In that box
is my past. I’ll look at the first thing in the box. A
poster of five amazing boys that once made my life complete. I
may have never met them in flesh, but that won’t matter to
me. Tears would start to stream down my cheek as I look at all
the posters, ‘Up All Night’ CD in my hands. I will
remember the disappointment I felt when the More Than This video
came out, but was just a clip from the DVD. I’ll remember
listening to What Makes You Beautiful and singing at the top of
my lungs. The countless nights of fangirling, and the dreams of
once seeing them and how they’ll fall in love with me. I
will have a flashback of all the things I did involving the boys.
The amount of dedication I put into my blog and trying to get
them to follow me on Twitter. I will be so deep in my thoughts
that I wouldn’t notice my whimps and sobs. My granddaughter
will approach me to see why I’ve gone for so long.
She’ll see I’m crying and will ask what’s in my
hands. I’ll tell her how the five boys were my first love,
and how I spent every single night listening to their music, and
occasionally staying up till 4am, just to watch a twitcam.
How I fought with Directionators over the internet and how
I protected their girlfriends. How I cried every time their songs
came on, or heard their names and voices on the television. Then
I’d look her into her eyes, and say ‘I’ll never
forget them.’ I will put away the box and go on with my
life, but I know they’ll always be a place in my heart,
just for the five most amazing, talented boys in the world. Harry
Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, & Louis
Tomlinson.
