Don't change who you are to fit in. Do whatever you want and your true friends will accept it. Popular people arent worth your time, no matter how nice it may seem to have people worship you. Good luck!(:

All really great advice, but im in junior high. Its tough, i wont lie, but just have fun. Everyone will try to discourage you, ignore it, and just stay true to yourself. When everyone figures out your a reqlly confident person, it will be way easier. Keep up on grades, dont kiss up to teachers, and have fun. :) good luck :) o, and dont get overwhelmed, it will all get better.

She didn't skip grades, she's british. If you want to know our schooling system is:
- Nursery as a 3-4 year old
- Primary school as a 5-11 year old
- High school as an 11 -16/18 year old.
I started high school this year and am going in to second year. Tryiong hard to fit in will get you nowhere. Don't be someone you're not. Just go, take the stuff you need and yeah, you'll be fine. :) I assume you're british, if you aren't then, dude, you must be really smart :D

stay true to yourself, be proud of who you are,, dont worry about fitting in with the populars, once you find good friends stick with them, always be honest, dont get caught up with trying to popular, always stay true to who you are :)

Hey. It depends, I mean, this is Naima's sister, I am 12 year's old, and I just started year 7, I think that's 8th Grade? Or sixth grade, whatever. anyways, here, in england, the homework gets easy, and hard, and the work. friends become annoying, but stick with the right girls. I'm kinda the popular girl, but I am not a . Make sure you stay good with the teachers and students too, but I guess that doesn't always happen. good luck. ;) comment back on my profile. btw, [I am twelve].

Don't worry about it. High school is no big deal. Just make some good friends, try hard in class and avoid the football team. :)

To things I learnt the hard way:
1) Be calm in all situations.
2) Don't judge.
3) Don't rush into things.
Now have fun!
Well, try.

Don't worry. I'm 12 and in High School. I was 11 when i started anyways! I was scared as well, their isn't really anything you can do about the nerves, but all i can tell you is that you WILL be fine. I promise. It isn't half as bad as i thought it would be.

I want to say be yourself. But in the end, that might not be good enough for society. It's going to be hard to be just yourself in that world, really hard. Because if being yourself doesn't fit to society's standards, you could just break. It's a tough world. And finding good friends take time. You might even get to meet a lot of rotten apples.
I guess, all I can tell you is; stay strong. Be yourself. Even if they try to pull you down. Because changing to fit someone's mold... it's going to bite you in the . It will.
Don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough.
and to camelsandcheeserobots44427;
i live in the Netherlands and with us you start highschool at the age of 12/13 and you finish around 15/16. It could be that this girl lives in a country with the same rules :D
