Chapter 5

I walked into class just as the late bell went.
"Almost late Ms Rivers"
Mrs Parker said to me barely looking up from her book.
I mumbled a little sorry, and took my seat alone at the back.
"Well class we have 2 new students here today"
I pulled out my notebook and pen and looked up.
Right there, were standing one light brown haired girl, that went up to her shoulders, she had blue-green eyes that were blazing. She the a medium height, not to tall, not to small, she pretty.
The to her was standing a guy with the same blue-green eyes, but had darker brown curly hair.
He was about "5'9" and looked really good looking.
"This is Lottie and Harry Sparks"
Mrs parker said interrupting my observation.
"Oh look, there's two seats at the back next to Heidi, you can sit there"
She said pointing next to the two empty seats next to me.
The girl-Lottie- Bounced down the isle and took the seat closest to me.
"Hi, I’m Lottie"
She chirped shoving her bag on the table and taking out the essentials.
"Heidi"
I said keeping conversation short.
I glanced over to the Guy with the Curly brown hair.
He was slouching in his chair, looking as if he didn’t give a damn weather he failed or not.
Rebel. I thought to myself.
The lesson was dragging on, and I couldn't keep from looking over to Harry.
Just at that moment, his eyes met mine.
I instantly looked down, blushing.
Brrrinnnggggg
Ahh! Saved by the bell.
I rushed out of the classroom, and made my way to my next lesson.
"Heidi wait!"
Someone called out, I didn't bother looking back, and continued my way down to the English corridor.
I took my usual seat at the back for English.
I dived into my messenger back to pull out my notebook.
Wait what?! Where's my notebook?!
I moved my hand around my bag, it wasn't there.
What?!
That had some very private things in there!
Very private. I need to find it.
"Looking for this?"
A familiar voice asked
I looked up and saw Lottie holding my Notebook in her hands.
"You left it on the desk, and rushed out before i could give it to you"
I took it from her
"Um thanks"
I said shyly, sinking down in my seat.
Had she looked through it?
"Don't worry, I didn't look in it"
She said as if reading my mind.
"Can I sit here?"
She pointed to the empty desk next to mine.
As much as I wanted to say no, i had to be polite.
It's not like I didn't like her or anything, it's just that I prefer my own space.
I nodded, and started making random doodles in the back of my notebook.
"So who's Mr. Hot over there"
I looked up and followed her gaze.
She was referring to Alex.
I looked down blushing for the second time today.
What’s up with me and blushing today? I hardly ever blush.
"Um, that’s Alex"
I said, trying to be polite, no matter how much I wanted to be alone.
"Alex"
She repeated.
"Well he's definitely first on my list of future husbands"
She said.
I started laughing.
Whoa. Laughing?!
This is the first time I’ve ever laughed since well...since forever.
It felt nice.
I think I might warm up to this girl.
