Chapter Nineteen

Drew’s P.O.V.
“Tessa?” someone called, knocking on my bedroom door.
Tessa was asleep, so I covered her with my quilt and got up to see who it was.
I cracked open my door slightly to see Claudia, Tessa’s little sister.
“Hey Claudia,” I smiled, “You look beautiful in that dress. Did Tessa pick it out for you?”
She giggled and nodded.
“What’s up?” I whispered, careful not to wake up Tess.
“Alex said you and Tess better get upstairs now or else.”
I sighed. Alex needed to relax.
“Alright, tell him we’ll be right up.”
“Okay,” she said, walking away.
I walked back over to the bed and sat next to Tessa, brushing my fingers down her arm until her eyes fluttered open.
At first, she was confused, her eyes wide.
She turned to me, shocked. “Drew?” she asked.
“Yeah, Tess?”
“W-What time is it?”
“It’s about eight o’clock.”
“Christmas morning?!” she practically yelled.
I chuckled, “No silly, eight o’clock at night. The party’s not over yet. You were only asleep for about a half hour.
She sighed in relief, “Oh, good.”
“But, baby, Alex wants us back upstairs.”
Her eyes widened when I called her baby, which I thought was really cute, personally.
“O-Okay. Let’s go then.”
I gave her my hand and pulled her up off my bed.
Once she was standing up, she looked down at herself and started straightening out her dress and fixing her hair, but I grabbed her hand.
“You look beautiful just like that, with your hair all disheveled,” I said honestly.
She smiled to the side while her cheeks turned pink. “Thank you,” she said.
She put her cardigan and heels back on, but stopped moving suddenly and held her stomach.
“Tessa?” I asked, “Are you okay?”
She blushed again and laughed. “I need my belt back, Drew.”
 
Alex’s P.O.V.
“Hey kiddo,” I said to Claudia, “What’d he say?”
“He said they’d be up in a minute.”
“Okay. Was he wearing all his clothes?” I asked.
She scrunched up her nose, “Yes, Alex.”
“What about Tessa?”
“Yeah, but she was sleeping.”
“Okay. Thanks kid. I owe you one.”
“Yeah,” she smiled, “No problem.”
