               It was getting harder and harder to breathe. I put my head in my hands, trying to calm myself down. I could feel the tears coming, but I didn't want to cry. Crying wouldn't get me anywhere - crying was for the weak.
               After a couple minutes, my breathing steadied. I sat up and blinked a few times, trying to get the tears that were blurring my vision to go away.
               "Emma," I sniffled. "Emma Kiefer."
               I shook my head and sniffed, biting my cheeks nervously. A million thoughts were running through my head at once.
               How did she see me?
               Why hasn't she told the cops yet?
               What is she going to do to me tomorrow?
               Ashley's - I mean, my - phone rang, bringing me back to reality. I felt around for the phone, grabbing it and pulling it to my ear.
               "Hello?" I answered.
               "Hey Ash."
               I almost dropped the phone. My hands were shaking and tears were starting to form in my eyes. Why me? Why now?
               "Hi Emma."
               "I just wanted to ask if you wanted me to drive you to school tomorrow, so we can drive together after school?"
               I bit my lip, not wanting to answer her wrong. How would Ashley answer? Would she take the ride or take her car instead?
               "You know, so we don't have to take two cars?" Emma said, breaking the silence.
               "Oh, sorry, yeah, I was, uh... I just remembered that I already have a ride tomorrow," I lied.
               "Oh, okay, that's fine."
               "So I'll see you tomorrow?"
               "Okay! See you then! Bye!"
               "Bye," I said, hanging up.
               I heaved a heavy sigh and fell back on my bed, dreading tomorrow. What was going to happen with Emma? I rubbed my temples, closing my eyes. What if Emma sees me driving to school tomorrow? I asked myself.
               I grabbed my phone and texted Tara. 'Hey can you drive me to school tomorrow?'
               My phone buzzed a couple seconds later. 'Sure.'
               'K thanks. See you then.'
               I closed the phone and put it on my bedside table, too tired to do anything. I curled up in the covers and fell asleep.
               Tomorrow wasn't going to be a good day.
