I found out before class that the party was actually going to be
a pretty big one, and since we had off school the next 2 days, I
could actually stay out late. Fiona said that she could pick me
up and we’d get ready at her house. I got my outfit ready,
and before I left I went to say bye to Sam because Ally was at
work.
“SAM!” I went down the hall and banged on the door.
His music was playing really loud, probably too loud, and I guess
he couldn’t hear me. I banged on the door some more, but
again he didn’t answer. I heard the car honk outside, so I
screamed bye, I love you and left.
“Hey.” I said when I got in the car. “Thanks
for picking me up Mrs. Niles.” I said, buckling my
seatbelt.
“No problem sweetie!” She said driving out of the
driveway.
“Cori, this party is going to be so fun. This is like, the
biggest party of the year and I’m so glad you invited me.
Although, I’m sure that Kylie and Kay-lee will end up
showing up, cause, you know, they’re popular and what not.
I kinda wonder if they’re the only twins in our school? Ya
Know? And in my opinion-“
“FIONA! Calm, down.” I shook her arm and started
laughing.
“Sorry.” She laughed too. When we got to her house,
we went straight upstairs to get ready. I brought a bag of
clothes, in case I had to spend the night, and just put my outfit
in there. We did each other’s makeup and I curled my hair,
and she straightened hers.
“You girls look good.” Her mom complimented when we
came downstairs to leave.
“Thanks.” We said in unison.
“You girls ready to go?” Her mom asked grabbing her
keys.
“Yup.” Fiona answered. We walked outside and ran to
the car since it was chilly, and we were wearing shorts. But if
you think about it, big parties get hot with all the people
dancing and what not. We pulled up to the house, got out,
said bye and thank you, and headed to the greatest party of the
school year.
“Hey babe!” Jeremy said giving me a hug.
“Hey hon.” I hugged back. There were already a lot of
people here, and the party was going. We walked into the main
room and someone offered me a beer.
“Uh, sure. Why not.” I took a sip and gagged. I
always hated beer. The taste, what it did to my dad, every part
of it. But tonight, I wasn’t going to care. I really
probably should have.
