Hello, my lovely, lovely travelers !
Although it has only been 24 hours since we created H’s Travelers, so much has happened ! We got some new travelers, made some new plans, came up with some more ideas…It’s been crazy, but wonderful. Just how we like it. :)
First of all, let’s recap on who is a part of H’s Travelers. I’ll only use the first 2 letters of your name, so your privacy is protected. We’ve got Ka, Da, Mo, Ca, Ju, Ai, and Ki, all of whom are awesome. :)
Secondly, Ai gave me some great ideas for NY last night, all of which I think we should definitely plan to do.
1. Broadway
2. MOMA and other museums
3. China Town and Little Italy
4. Baseball game

I also think it would be really fun to go to Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Yves St. Laurent Store since someone we all know likes to go there ;)
Positions- I mentioned earlier in the chat today my idea about positions. Everyone gets to create their own positon based off what they like to do. For example, I love to plan and write, so I could be a planner and a writer. That means when someone needs something to be planned, they’d turn to me and during the trip, I’d write down everything we did so I can share it with you guys later. If you don’t want a position or don’t know what you want to do yet, that’s fine. You can have as few or as many jobs as you’d like.
- Some ideas for positions : 1 or 2 main planners (hotel reservations, directions, etc.) Photographer (take pictures throughout the trip on your phone) Writer (write about all our amazing adventures during/after trip, blog it) Artist (sketch all the amazing sites we’ll see) 1D peeps (check up on what the boys are doing every once in a while and let us all know) If you have one of your own, that’s great ! Just let us know, and we ‘ll write it down !
- So far, I have Ju as a writer and Da as a writer and photographer
Our New York playlist- I’m making a playlist on spotify, and so far it’s looking great ! Keep those awesome suggestions coming ! Again, any song is fair game !
Money- Right now, I don’t want any of you guys to worry about money. Start saving if you can, but otherwise, ‘forget about it’ (see what I did there ?) ! I’m already thinking of some ways to make this trip affordable, such as taking flights in the odd hours of the night and checking out places big enough for all of us to stay at airbnb.com.
The Future- Thank you Mo for your great ideas about Dubai and thank you Dagmar for your list of places to travel someday ! They were both great and made me very excited about the future. :)
For the near future, I’d love to have dm ‘meetings’ where we could all come on together and talk about our ideas and hopes as a team. I’m thinking these could be once a month or once every 2 months. Let me know what you guys think. :)
Etc.- Today, a lot of us thought 2 weeks sounded like a good amount of time for the trip. That way, people can choose to stay for only part of the trip or for all of it, depending on what they want to do. Whether we’ll stay in NYC for all of that time or not is still undecided.
I also mentioned flying together for our 3 international girls. If you wanted to meet in England and all take a flight from there, you could get the party started early and get to know each other ! If not, that’s cool, too ! Do whatever is right for you. :)
