The Player Falls Hard
Chapter 3
BRYNN'S POV
Later that week, I was unpacking my bag's that got from the truck. I was starting to get annoyed with all the boxes stacked in the corner of the room, waiting for me to unpack them. I know I now lived in London, but I still had all of my surfing stuff that I wanted to put in my room. I tried to make the room look almost the same way it did in my old house, were I felt comfortable and safe. At peace.
I put up my blue floral surfboard on the wall, close to the angle that it was at my real home, and stood back, admiring my work. It looked pretty close to my old room, considering what I had to work with. My brown wooden table next to my bed with the white covers on it, the light blue paint around my walls, the short fake palm tree plant near my closet. I smiled for the first real time that week, just as my dad knocked on my door.
"Hey kiddo." He grinned at me, happy to see me smiling.
He knew this move was rough on me, and he was trying so hard to make me feel as at home as possible.
"Hey."
"I was thinking, after you eat a little lunch, you could go and say hello to our neighbors?"
He said it like it was more of a questionable order than an idea.
"Dad..."
With a gloomy smile, I shrugged and crossed my arms over my colorblocked cardigan.
"I don't think I want to."
My dad gave me a look, but sighed.
"Please? For me? I would really like it if you got out there and made some new friends." I rolled my eyes in my head, but nodded.
I pushed my way past him and went down the stairs and into the kitchen. I walked up to the fridge and opened the door, looking around. Since there wasn't much we could do without cookery, we ordered a pizza last night. All we had in there were the extra slices, and the bottle of Coke we got. I grabbed the box and took the piece in my mouth, chewing it cold. I know that sounds disgusting, but it was in fact, very good to me. I finished it in a few big bite's and shoved the box back in the fridge. My dad came down and poured the Coke as I grabbed my phone off of the counter and slipped it into my pocket. I told my father I was going to meet the neighbors, but I really was going to walk to the nearest coffee shop and spend my afternoon there.
HARRY'S POV
"I'm telling you, she was super fine. Like, almost unreal." I said, describing the girl from the airplane.
"Man, you've got it bad." Zayn said, laughing.
"Do not." I argued.
"Sure." he said sarcastically.
"Please. I could get any girl I want. I don't need her." I said, even though I wasn't sure it was true.
"Prove it." Niall said, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Fine. What do I have to do?" I asked, wondering where this was going.
"Here's what you're going to do. The next girl that walks in, you have to make her fall in love with you. And you have four months to get her to sleep with you." Zayn said. That sounded easy.
"What do I get if I do it?" I asked, curious as to what my prize would be.
"We will all chip in and get you that new car you wanted." Louis suggested.
"You're serious? Deal." I said, agreeing because I really, really wanted that car.
I sat watching the door for the next few minutes. I turned for one second, and that's when I heard the door open. I looked over my shoulder to see who I would have to make fall in love with me. My jaw dropped, and I couldn't believe it. It was her.
Brynn.
