The Boys Next Door
Chapter 3
Haydens' P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of three boys shouting at my window.
"HAYDEN! WAKE YOUR LAZY BOOTY UP! IT'S TIME FOR WORK!"
Great. I have to work. Again. Oh well, it wasn't so bad.
"HAYDEN! HAYDEN! HAYDEN! COME ON!"
I got tired of hearing that so eventually I got up and opened my window.
"COOL YOUR JETS! I'M UP, ALRIGHT?!"
I closed the window and took a nice refreshing shower, then I went over to my dresser, and pulled out my hot pink, lime green, and blue ruffled triangle top bikini that had plain pink bottoms. I put on a pair of distressed light wash blue jean shorts and a a soft cotton white tee shirt, and my Rainbow flip flops, and walked out the door. As I was walking across the lawn I threw my hair up in a ponytail and walked into Mrs. Kingston's office.
"Good morning Mrs. Kingston!"
She gave me a warm smile and greeted me:
"Hun, I told you too call me Jenette, how was your first day yesterday?"
Another warm smile.
"It was a lot better than expected." I smiled. "I had no idea the job came with a wake up call, I just wish it had a snooze alarm!"
I smirk-slash-snickered.
"Oh, those boys." Jenette giggled.
"Anyway sugar, you have gift shop duty today."
I heard giggling from the halls.
"She said duty!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Alright, Brett you'll be on gift shop with Hayden, Randy you'll be in repairs. and..."
She let out a small chuckle. "Thomas has gas."
Bretts' P.O.V
After everyone left, I stayed back.
"Really ma? Me in gift shop?" I sighed. That was the worst job ever. Just a ton of snooty ladies coming and asking questions about 'authenticity' and what not. I don't even know half the crap they talk about.
"Yes, hun. I'm giving you each a job alone with Hayden so you can all show her how everything works and make her feel welcome." My mom gave me a smile and gestured to the door.
"Get to work sugar pie. Don't keep her waiting."
I walked out the door and too the gift shop. As I walked into the curio shop-slash-beach styled gift shop I slid onto the counter, where Hayden was reading "People" magazine.
"Hey good lookin' what's cookin?"
I cocked my eyebrow in a flity way that drives all the girls in Tuscaloosa mad.
She giggled that little cute chuckle of her hers. Wait. What am I saying? She's fifteen and I'm ninteen. Oh lord.
"Not much, just working." She put air quotes around working.
"So, how are you liking it here?" I asked sincerely. She looked shocked that I wasn't joking.
"Well, it's okay. I just keep thinking that once we go back to school I won't have any idea who anyone is at all."
I smiled bright at her.
"Not true, you'll have Thomas and Randy!" I gave her the upside.
"So, when do you turn sixteen?" I asked.
Her eyes brightened up the second I said that.
"Tomorrow, actually." She smiled really bright.
Then, the best idea for tomorrow popped into my head.
I mean it was the best idea, ever.
Tell me what you think so far! It would mean loads! Might have another chapter up tonight! Sorry about the spacing, I don't know what's up with it.
