Lots of people want to get other girls recognized for their amazing quotes on Witty, but very few people really do anything. So, comment on this quote if somebody (other than yourself) is writing amazing quotes or an amazing story and DOESN'T get hundreds of faves on them.

Becca watched cars zoom past as she and Caroline slowed to a stop at a red light.
"If you were more careful, this wouldn't be happening so often."
"It doesn't happen often! It happened like once."

"Oh like you're any better, miss 'I'll just go sleepover with my sexy friend Blake. Gabe won't care'. Did you even talk to him?"

Blake dropped Becca off at her house. She had an hour before school started, so she had to move quickly. First, she laid out her clothes. Then she checked her phone, only to see a text from Gabe. He'd sent it at around 6:00, the exact time he said he'd come get her so they could eat breakfast, and about the time she woke up.
"Damn it..." Becca mumbled under her breath. She tossed her phone onto her bed and got into the shower. She had to cut short what she liked to call "Becca's happy time" (her shower) short so she could get to school.
She threw on her clothes and got all her stuff together.
Caroline was just finishing her breakfast when Becca dashed down the stairs.
"I almost left without you." Caroline says, putting her bowl in the sink.
"Well, some of us like to be nice to Blake."
"Was somebody a bit too nice to Blake?" Caroline asks. She raises an eyebrow and leads the way out the her car.
"Hop in." Caroline says. Becca does as Caroline says and gets into the car.
"I wasn't too nice to him. We didn't do anything." Becca says, buckling her seatbelt.
"Whatever. You know, Gabe came looking for you."
"Yeah, I know." Becca put her index finger to her head.
"Are you seeing the future? Are you Shawn Spencer, psychic detective?" Caroline asks, turning right at a red light.
"Very funny." Becca says.
"Well, I wouldn't feel too guilty. I'm not entirely sure Gabe's being faithful to you. Some guy from our new school said he saw a girl coming out of Gabe's house the same night he took you out." Caroline says, turning right into the student parking lot.
"What?" Becca says. She heard Caroline perfectly, she just couldn't believe it.
"Oh look, we're five minutes early. I guess your little sleepover with Blake didn't slow you down." Caroline says. She gets out of the car and leaves Becca sitting there.

Gabe sat on his couch, watching the news from the dinner table.
"This just in: a young couple were sitting in a car parked in a driveway, when a criminal being chased my the police crashed into the back of the car. Extreme injury has been reported, but we're not clear on who has been injured. Back to you, Tanya."
"Mom, did you hear that? What if the criminal is Derek?" Krista lunged for the phone and dialed Derek's number.
"Dare-bear? Please pick up your phone." Krista looked so upset.
"What if the criminal hit Pete and Celia?" Liam said. He lunged for his phone and dialed Pete's number.
"What if the injured person is Poloma riding with her Dad? He's a criminal." Mel said. She lunged for Gabe's phone. But, Gabe didn't stop her. He didn't think he had anyone to call.
Becca woke up on Blake's couch, the credits of Titanic scrolling on the screen. She fallen asleep while they were spitting off the side of the boat.
"Blake, wake up." Becca said. She nudged Blake's face with her foot.
"Huh?" Blake asked. The clock said 1:00.
"Am I staying the night or are you taking me home?" Becca asked.
"Whatever's fine." Blake said. His voice was sleepy.
"I don't want you to drive all sleepy." Becca said. She curled back up on the couch and put in another movie.
"Okay. Make sure your mom isn't going to drive over and murder me." Blake said. They'd gotten into trouble for not calling thousands of times before.
"Okay." Becca mumbled. She dialed her mom's number, but she didn't answer, so she sent a text. There, she knows I'm safe. Fun!" Becca said. She pressed play and the movie started.

Blake ran right to the door and threw it open.
"Blake! Don't be like that!" Caroline called after him. Becca got up from her yoga mat and ran to the door, following Blake.
"Blake! Are you okay?" Becca asked. She put her hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Your sister is using me. She thinks I'm actually interested in her." Blake says. He unlocks his car and gets inside. Becca quickly climbs in after him.
"And your not interested?" Becca said. She looked around Blake's car and nodded.
"Impressive."
"Well, thanks. But, no, I'm not interested in your sister. How could I date my best friend's sister?" Blake said. He backed the car out of the driveway and smiled.
"Well, that means you're kind of normal." Becca said. Guys didn't usually fall for Caroline's aggressive personality.
Becca and Blake pulled up to the side of the road and Blake cut off the engine.
"I'm sorry, do you want me to take you home?" Blake asked.
"Nah. Let's just go to your house. You can take me home later." Becca answered. She turned on the radio and they drove off the Blake's house.
They pulled into Blake's driveway.
"So, you're dating..." Blake said. He gave a smile.
"I guess."
"Well, he's lucky."
"You're lucky too."
Becca kissed Blake's cheek and smiled. Blake smiled back.
"I know I am."

Blake showed up at Becca's house and knocked on the door. Becca answered the door in her oversized Superman t-shirt and yoga pants. Her hair was up in a pony tail and she didn't have on any make up.
"Blake! You came to visit!" Becca said. She threw her arms around his neck.
"Hey there Beck. Your sister invited me over." Blake said. Hegave Becca a kiss on the forehead and a warm smile.
"Oh, well, come on in. She's upstairs. I'll go get her." Becca said. Blake took a seat on Becca's couch in the living room next to Toby. Becca's yoga mat was set up on the floor and calming ocean sounds were playing.
"Caroline, your gentleman caller has arrived!" Becca said in a fake Southern accent.
"You're not even upset that I called him?" Caroline asked. She brushed some mascara over her eyelashes and blinked.
"Why would I be. And being attracted to someone and liking them are two different things." Becca said. She poked her head into Caroline's closet.
"Where did you get that?" Becca asked, holding up a designer dress with the price tag still on it.
"Seven thousand dollars? How did you buy-" Becca cut herself off.
"You stole a dress?"
"Beck, you can't tell anyone. Especially not Bee! We both know he couldn't keep a secret to save a life." Caroline says quickly. She snatches the dress from Becca's hands and puts it back in her closet.
"Whatever." Becca says.
Becca continues her yoga while Blake and Caroline hang out in Caroline's room.
"Isn't Blake YOUR best friend? Why is he with Caroline?" Toby asks. He's just finished a comic book and is now scanning his collection for a new one.
"Well, Caroline is going to slip up and Blake's going to hate her. Then, all will be right with the world again." Becca said calmly.
As if on cue, Blake came down the stairs.

Gabe sat on his bed, playing with a tube of lip gloss that Becca left in his car.
"Gabe! You have a visitor." Krista called from downstairs. He heard the water turn off in the shower, meaning Liam was done.
"Be right there." Gabe called down the stairs. He tossed the lip gloss into a drawer and ran down the stairs.
A guy about his age with short red hair and dark eyes was standing around with his hands in his pockets.
"I'm Blake." The guy said. Gabe felt small and unattractive just standing in the same room as this guy. Not that Blake was any taller or more muscular than himself.
"Gabe."
"So, you're dating Becca?" Blake said. His eyes didn't look aggressive like his body language.
"Yeah." Gabe said cautiously. He rubbed the back of his neck. He glanced at Blake's short hair and shot him a fake smile. Was this the same Blake as the one in Becca's phone?
"Well, Becca and I have been best friends since the first grade. I just want you to know that if you hurt her, I'll get some of my buddies to mess you up." Blake said. He seemed dead serious.
"So, why are you up here? You live down where Becca used to, right?" Gabe assumed he was around to hang out with Becca.
"Oh, her sister asked me to come up and hang. She also told me about you, so I thought I'd stop by."
"Oh, how nice of you."

Becca and Toby sat on the grass outside their house doing a puzzle and drinking lemonade. John was on the patio grilling and whistling, and Caroline was sitting at the table with their mom, texting.
"Wait, Beck, I forgot to ask you how your date went." Caroline said, looking up from her phone.
"It wasn't really a date. We were just hanging out." Becca said. She looked for a place to put the puzzle piece in her hand.
"What did you do while I was gone, Bee?" Becca asked Toby, glancing at him.
"Well, I read comic books in your room until bedtime." Toby said. He put a puzzle piece in it's place.
"I went out with that guy you used to like, Becca. What was his name? Blake?" Caroline said. Blake had been Becca's crush since the first grade, but she hadn't told any of her friends. So, when her best friend started dating him, she moved on.
"Oh. Did you a have a fun time?" Becca asked. Her expression didn't change. And it hadn't changed since she got home last night. John and Mom were cool with Gabe since he got her back home on time. Toby liked him because he invited himself and Becca on a private tour of the zoo.
But, Caroline seemed to have a problem with Gabe. And nobody could figure it out.
Today was the last day of vacation before they went to school and Caroline was the only one that didn't seem the least bit excited.
"Well, I have some news. Since this is my first day of high school at the same school as Becca, I just want you all to know that I will keep Becca out of trouble. And, Gabe out of Becca." Caroline said. She gave a fake smile.
"What does that even mean, Beck?" Toby asked.
"Bee, that's another question for Mom."

Becca's POV
"Becca, Gabe's here." Caroline calls from outside Becca's door.
"Okay, Bee, one last look. Do I look good?" Becca asked. Toby looked up from his comic book and nodded.
"Alrighty. Now, Bee, you can hang out here, but don't mess with my stuff or read my diary." Becca says. Toby is on her bed, lying on his stomach, reading a comic book. He nods.
"You got, it Beck. Have fun."
"Thanks Bee! See you later!" Becca calls to him. She runs down the stairs and into the foyer. She glances into the living room, sees that nobody's in there, and then heads for the kitchen.
"Hey, Gabe."
"Hey Becca."
"So, I was just telling Gabe how he's much hotter than you described." Caroline says. She takes a sip of something in her cup and smiles. Gabe tries not to look embarrassed, but his cheeks look a bit red.
"Caroline, how is that huge pimple on your forehead doing?" Becca asked. Caroline's hand moved to her bangs, combing the hair with her fingers so that it covers the site of the pimple.
"Let's just go. Nice to meet you, Caroline."
Gabe and Becca went to an Italian food restaurant and then they drove up to Scolar Lake. The sky was a dark shade of purple when they pulled up to the lakefront in Gabe's car.
"Wow... Look at this view." Becca whispered. She turned to find herself face to face with Gabe, his hazel eyes looked amazing in the moonlight.
"This one's pretty amazing too." Gabe said. He put his hand on the side of Becca's face and gave her a gentle kiss.
"Hey. I'm going to go jump in the lake now. Do you want to come?" Gabe asked. But, he didn't wait for an answer. He kicked off his shoes and ran for the water. Becca barely hesitated to follow suit and splashed into the cold water after him.
