i wrote this poem in september 2011 for an english unit we were working on of poetry. It is called 'Never Ready'.
It is an original poem!
Never Ready
we're never ready to say goodbye,
to the man we always face.
but when we lose him we refuse to accept,
that he has gone to a better place.
we never want to let him go,
the one whom we hold dear.
although, if it were up to us,
we'd always keep him near.
we never think he'll leave,
because he's full of love.
that's why God guided him to us,
that angel sent from above.
when we have him every day,
we dont notice we take him for granted.
but then we stop and realise,
he is the special seed God planted.
yet, if only we could see you in heaven,
and know your pleased there.
we would never attempt to call you back,
or try to move you elsewhere.
we'll put our trust in God's great hands,
and know some day once more.
we'll hold you in our hearts again,
when we enter heaven's shore.
This poem is dedicated to my grandfather, Joseph Sajih W.

- To make my body feel real.
- To get rid of the anger I feel.
- To cover the guilt of not being good enough.
- It distracts me from painful memories and feelings.
- To have a mark outside that shows my pain inside.
- To try and stop flashbacks.
- To punish myself.
- It makes me feel alive.
- I feel in control of myself.
- It's a cry for help.
- It stops me from having to talk about my problems.
- Helps me cope with stress.
- It makes me feel safe.
- It stops me from hurting other people.
- It reduces the tension I feel.
- I feel something rather than nothing.
- It realeases my pent up feelings.

When you ask me how I am, I could tell you a lot.
I could tell you how I hate myself.
How I look into the mirror and cry.
How I drag that blade across my skin every night.
How I shove my finger down my throat.
How I go to sleep, begging not to wake up.
How I wish I could just disappear.
How I am drifting away from everything.
How I cry so hard, I can't breathe.
But I won't.
I'll say I'm fine, and smile.

I hate when people joke
about cutting, suicide, or
eating disorders.
The thing is, you have no idea
what people go through.
You can be standing
right next to someone
who is planning on
ending their own life,
and you may never know it.
Please stop.
It really, really hurts.

Please, Open Your Eyes.
Today at my school, one of my good friends was rushed to the hospital. He was beat up by a kid. Gave him a broken nose, concussion, and is getting stiches. I was walking out of school after having a great day at school, talking to my friend about how much of a good day we were both having. We walk out of the school to see my freind, laying on the concrete, covered completely in blood. Some people were video taping, just standing there. Some even chuckled.
All because of the music he likes.
Yeah. This poor kid was sent to the hospital, because of the music he listens to. The group of people at my school who listen to the band ICP, have been getting harrassed and getting death threats. Just because of that.
This is wrong.
People shouldn't be bullied to the point, where they are scared to go to school. And that's how people are getting now. People are scared to go to school. I don't think people realize how many people commit suicide because of bullying.
Alot of people.
People shouldn't be judged by how they dress, what music they listen to, or the gender they love.
We're all humans.
We're all beautiful in our own way.
Music saved me. But now, people are getting the impression that if they show they like this band, or etc, that they are going to get hurt. Some people are afraid to wear band t-shirts to school now. Afraid of getting harrassed and bullied. This shouldn't have to turn out like this.
Bullying needs to end. Now.
